First trip to Estes in 2014

So we have been wanting to get up to Estes Park to go hiking for the whole summer. Yet because of Brandon's job at Positive Dental and then switching to Comfort Dental we really have not had much time to get away. So we finally had the chance when Brandon was officially done with Positive Dental and was only working weekend at Comfort for 2 weeks. So we headed up to the Mountains to go on a little bit of a hike with the boys. It was just a path around a lake, but, it worked out great since Wyatt was walking it and he is not one to be cautious. So it was a perfect non stress full little hike around a lake. It was cooler than we expected it to be and started to get windy by the end of our walk. The boys still had a blast. Especially with throwing rocks into the lake! haha 

Ethan got a little cold! haha Every one else that was there had jackets on. We did not come prepared! haha

Then we opened up the back of our car and had our picnic lunch in our car. Well at least the boys ate in the car. 

Yummy lunch! Then off for some....

Ice cream!! 

We used to have an ice cream place near us called Pioneer Ice Cream. It was really yummy! Then it closed down, but, the original place is in Estes so we got ice cream there. Nothing better than a good family hike and some yummy Ice cream! :-)
