The rest of our countdown to Christmas consisted of a lot more play time and and lots of sweets and just some all around fun times together!
Brandon's office did a cookie exchange one day at work so when Brandon brought loads of cookies home for us to sample we decided to make it our Family Home Evening event. We ate cookies and watched LDS Christmas Videos. It was a fun evening. Emmett is a sugar fiend and just kept going for more and more cookies. haha
I came downstairs to find Wyatt looking like this. He said that he was a football player. I think he looked more like Quasimodo! haha
So I fixed his shoulders for him so he could look more like a football player. Then we threw the football around a little bit in the basement!
Watching Christmas movies together on the couch!
Yummy Freddies!
Emmett actually ate a good amount of hamburger that night and then was being a goof ball and grabbed the lid from one of the drinks and started playing with it like a sword. He kept doing this silly laugh where he would laugh and then breath in while still making a noise. haha It was the funniest thing!! I love it when he is just being a happy boy!
Playing pretend at home. Wyatt was pretending to be a puppy that was sleeping so Emmett had to join in.
I decided to do a little Christmas craft with Wyatt and Emmett and I tried to help Emmett do his but he lost interest really fast. Wyatt on the other hand had fun covering his Santa completely. He made it a point to tell me that his eyes were covered and not to uncover them.
Ethan is getting so much better at his writing. I love reading his little stories he writes about his weekends.
Emmett just looked too cute running around in his little monster towel I couldn't help but take a picture of him! :-)
Wyatt took this picture of Ethan before he left for school on the last day he went before Christmas break.
Emmett decided that the presents should not be under the tree! haha
The last Monday night before Christmas we had a Christmas light seeing Family Home Evening. We got some hot chocolate from Starbucks and a cake pop for Emmett and then drove around and saw some Christmas lights and listened to Christmas music. It was a fun evening!
The boys were so excited to get Hot Chocolate!
Ethan had a Grinch day at school. They were told to come dressed up for Grinch day if they wanted to so we sprayed Ethan's hair green. Ethan was super excited to have green hair for school. He told us when he got home that everyone else forgot except for one person and so everyone gasped with their mouths wide open when they saw Ethan, he said they were super jealous that they forgot. haha
Helping out around the house got to start them early! :-)
The night of the 22nd we got pizza and watched "The Muppet Christmas Carol". After that the boys went to bed not knowing that Grandpa and GG were on there way to our house. Brandon and I relaxed for a little while before he headed off to the airport to go pick up my parents. I was so excited I could hardly wait. We had kept this a secret from the boys for months and not only was I excited for my boys to see them in the morning but I was also just super stoked to have them finally arrive and to spend time with them. It was the start of a great Christmas break! :-)
