Fun in the basement

The boys have so much fun in the basement. They had so much fun in the basement when it wasn't finished and they still have so much fun playing downstairs. Mostly they love being able to ride their scooters downstairs. They also loved being able to help Daddy work in the basement.

Of coarse as soon as I get the camera out to take pictures of the boys helping out their daddy in the basement they just sit and watch him and plug their ears. haha

They LOVE riding their scooters in the basement! I think they may be sad when there is carpet in the basement and they cant ride their scooters anymore!

Lastly we moved the huge couch box we had in the garage downstairs so that the boys could play in it like a fort. One of the days Brandon and I were getting the basement cleaned up a little bit more since we decided to wait on carpet for a little longer and I decided to let the boys paint their box!

They thought it was pretty fun! They didnt paint as long as I thought they would but they still had fun while it lasted!

Basement update

Our basement is almost done!! We can't wait to get things more organized in our house and have our basement actually feel like a living space!

Brandon rented a paint sprayer from Home Depot to spray primer on all the walls, doors and ceiling as well as some white paint on the ceiling, doors and trim. It took him a while because the sprayer started to spray lines on the ceiling which was really frustrating since he then had to roll the ceiling to get rid of the lines. He came up from painting and was covered in white! haha

We have the basement painted and are just waiting to get the electrical finished and put in carpet. Then our basement will be finished and we can move the boys toys downstairs as well as the couch and set up Brandon's speaker system (which he is stoked about haha). We are so close and it is pretty exciting!

I love to see the Temple

It has been pretty cool to watch the progress of the Fort Collins Temple being built. It is going to be so nice to have a temple so close to us!

The boys love it when we get to church and they see the temple! It will be so nice to be able to walk around the temple grounds with our boys when it is completed! So thankful for Temples and the knowledge that we can be together forever!! I sure do love my family and I can't wait to enjoy having a temple close and for all of the missionary opportunities that it will bring!

Our official Easter celebrations!

Easter morning started out with the boys finding their hidden Easter baskets that the Easter bunny left for them. They were pretty stoked to find them. Wyatt found his super fast and Ethan had to get a little help from Daddy and I. They then wanted to chow down on all the candy they got and we let them eat quite a bit. This year conference fell on Easter weekend which was actually really nice. So we got up let the boys find their baskets and then I made some yummy breakfast to enjoy while we watched conference. Then after conference the boys had a little Easter egg hunt in the backyard. These eggs were not filled with candy however, the Easter Bunny had left some special eggs that had pictures and items in them that told the story of Jesus. We were able to go through the last week of Jesus's life with the boys and his resurrection and then we hung out the rest of the day!

Wyatt was pretty stoked about everything in his basket and so was Ethan! haha
Ethan wasn't excited at all! ;-)

Here is what the Easter bunny left us to tell about Jesus!

That evening we made resurrection rolls. They are actually pretty cool. You roll a marshmallow inside some dough and then roll that in some cinnamon and sugar and bake it. When they are cooked the marshmallow is no longer there! We tried our best to include the real reason we celebrate Easter through out the day and I think we succeeded! I just hope that the message stuck with out boys! haha
