Enjoying the summer

Life has been pretty good this summer. The boys really have been playing great all summer long. Sure they have their moments but, for the most part they are best buds. We have not played in the backyard as much as I feel like we should have for the summer but it is hard to want to play in the backyard pool when we have a nice big one just down the street. One day while the boys were playing in the backyard Ethan decided to take the spray part of the "bunch of balloons" things that we had and hook it up to the slide so that it would spray onto the slide.

He loves creating things. He is going to be just like his dad! They had so much fun with the slide all wet while they slid down it into the pool. It was funny to watch them!

One morning I decide it would be fun to go on a bike ride with my boys. It turned into a trash pick up bike ride. Anytime they saw trash they would stop and go run and grab it. It was great and yet I just wanted to go for a nice bike ride and enjoy being outside for just a bit before Emmett went down for his nap. Oh well, I need to be better at just enjoying what the boys are doing and not trying to keep to my own agenda!

Emmett was so excited when I gave him a huge chunk of watermelon to eat. I think he just really wants to be a big boy and do everything his brothers are doing. haha

Anytime there is yogurt on his tray he has to paint his face with it. haha

Pool TIME!!!!

These boys are such cuties!! I just love them so much!

This is Emmetts thing these days. He LOVES to walk around with sandals on his hands. haha I don't know why but, anytime he sees sandals he puts them on his hands and walks around. haha So silly!

Lastly, we went to Texas Roadhouse again and the boys did great! Emmett had a rough time until I finally gave in and let him have the ranch, then he was a happy camper! haha

I could care less how dirty he was because he was so stinking happy! haha

Birthday time again!

My birthday was on a Tuesday this year. Since it was during the week there really was not much we could do to celebrate. So I decided to take the boys with me to get a couple of things that I was getting for free because it was my birthday. Well first let me just say that Emmett took a nice long nap and the boys played nicely in the basement together and didn't fight at all and let me take a nice long shower and I was able to take my time with getting ready for the day. So really that was the best present they could have given me. After getting ready for the day we headed to Ulta and Sephora to get my free things.

Luckily it was actually really nice outside so it felt really good to be walking around. I could have driven from Ulta to Sephora but decided that it would be more fun to walk and enjoy the nice weather and some fresh air.

The boys had fun trying to hang on this tree. I kind of encouraged them. Only sometimes I am fine with going slow and just enjoying life! I should do it more often! haha The boys thought it was so fun to hang on this tree. Wyatt thought it was fun until he couldn't really do it and got a little scared because his foot was getting stuck! haha

After shopping I set a blanket out on the grass and Emmett enjoyed a snack and the boys played on their bikes and scooters.

These were the free things I got! I was pretty excited about the free urban decay makeup.

The boys also showed me how to golf! haha
I wish I had a picture of Ethan as well but I have video of both of them showing me how to golf!

That night after Brandon got home we went to Chipotle for dinner and then had some yummy ice cream cake for dessert. Then I opened my present from Brandon. A shopping spree!! :-) I was finally going to be forced to get some new clothes! haha

So Friday morning we had breakfast and headed down to the outlets at Castle Rock.

I got a new jacket, sweatshirt, sweatpants, pants and a couple of shirts.

Wyatt looks like he is having fun but Emmett did not want to sit in the stroller, he wanted to walk around. haha

We grabbed some freddy's for lunch and then stopped at one more mall to check out a couple of stores and get pretzels and then we headed home. Sadly, we hit traffic on the way home and were in the car close to an extra hour longer than we could have been. The boys were super done by the time we got home! But, it was a success because I did buy some new clothes. Happy Birthday to me!! :-)

Our first weekend back to just our little family!

Saturday morning after Coya and John and their kids left we spent about 3 hours cleaning the house and then decided to have some fun together. The boys love mini golfing so we headed to fort fun and braved the heat and mini golfed.

Emmett got tired of sitting in the stroller so I let him help me golf. I wasn't doing very well anyways and I needed some extra help. In fact I ended up doing better with him helping me than I was when I was golfing by myself! haha

Anytime the bathroom doors are left open Emmett takes his chance to wreak havoc. This time I found his sandals and a little toy in the toilet! Thankfully the toilet had bee flushed recently!

Emmett has also been folding his arms for prayer for the last couple of weeks. It is the cutest thing. This was the best picture I could get of him folding his arms. Normally the backs of his hands are pushed completely together and his arms and a lot straighter.

Emmett loves dancing to music. Brandon decided to drum on the back of the couch and the other boys joined in and Emmett kept dancing and having a bunch of fun!! So much fun hanging out at home with these crazies! :-)

Still enjoying some family time!

After Sunday it was officially just our little family... oh and Coya!! haha Coya hung out at our place while her little family was in Washington for John's families family reunion. It was going to be too crazy for a majorly pregnant women to do all the things that they were going to be doing. So she hung with us until her family came back that Thursday evening. We went to the pool a few times and got some shopping and cleaning done during that time. Mostly, it was nice to have someone else to talk to during the week besides my kiddos! :-)
This pictures it just so funny to me. Emmett is really wanting to be just like his older brothers these days. The boys were throwing balls at these metal chairs and so Emmett grabbed some balls and started throwing them at the chairs as well. I love the line up of the boys going from tallest and oldest to smallest and youngest! Sure do love these silly kids! :-)

Thursday Brandon left right after work to head to the airport to pick up John and their kids and bring them back here to hang out until Saturday morning. One their way back from the airport a girl 3 cars behind them slammed into the car in front of her and that car went out onto the shoulder and then back into the traffic and slammed into Brandon's car. Luckily no one was hurt and it was basically just sad for our little car. That and the lady that hit the car that hit our car did not have insurance. So we are hoping that we will get some coverage from the person who actually hit us. We shall see! After that joyous experience they finally got home and we had dinner and the kids played for a while and then we put the kids to bed and played some games before we all went to bed.

The next morning we took them to snooze for some birthday breakfast for Mady. Friday was a full day of celebration because it was Mady's birthday. So we went to breakfast and then hung out at the pool for a while and then had pizza for dinner and ice cream cake for dessert! It was a fun day with them.

After all that fun on Friday they had to take off back home Saturday morning. So it was official Saturday around 10 we are back to just our little family. Back to normal life!
It sure was fun having everyone in town for a while. Now back to reality!

The End!

Sunday Ty and Vandy got back from their get away and then packed up and left. Brandon's parents then left and we were left with Jason, Devin and their little one Kalyn and Coya. Things were way calmer and way more quiet that day. Jason and Devin then left around 1 to go to the wedding that Devin was in for her friend and we watched Kalyn for the rest of the day.

The 3 youngest of the cousins hanging out!

After Jason and Devin left we decided to take the kids for a walk. Kalyn was pretty whiny and she had a runny nose. Turns out it was not teething. The only reason we know that is because first she had a low fever and 2 Emmett got a runny nose the next day!

Ethan and Wyatt played so well together that Sunday. Maybe it was just the fact that the craziness was no more. When the little ones went down for naps it was a really quiet and really relaxing day. Jason and Devin were not going to get back till really late that night and then they were going to head home and drive all night. So we said good bye to them before they left for the wedding. By Monday morning Brandon had to go back to work and Coya and I hung out at home while the boys played.
It sure was fun having everyone at our house for basically a week. It was crazy and noisy, but it sure was fun. We are glad that everyone was able to make it and for all the fun memories we were able to make together! :-)
