Labor Day Fun

Saturday we didn't do much but Monday we had a lot of fun to end our Labor Day weekend with a bang. We started our morning with a round of golf with the Willey's and then grabbed some lunch and then relaxed at home for a little while while Emmett napped. After that we hit our pool for the last time for the season! 

We had a blast golfing with the Willey family. 

By the time we went swimming the wind had picked up and it was not as warm as it had been earlier that day. We didn't last very long at our pool. Emmett was freezing and wanting his towel within 20 minutes. haha So while we waited for the other boys to be done swimming we took some goofy pictures together! :-)

I love snuggling with Emmett! Really any of my boys if they just wanted to sit and cuddle with me I would be happy to just sit and relax with them. 

My boys are such goof balls!! I LOVE IT!!!! 

After warming up for a little bit Emmett decided he wanted to go on the slide all by himself. I did not really want to get back in the water because it really was cold getting in and out of that pool. Since Brandon was still in the pool he was ready to catch him. Emmett was so excited to go down he slide all by himself. 

He did such a good job and was all smiles. Then he wanted to keep doing it over and over again. However, the second time he went down by himself Wyatt tried to help him and the next thing we knew he was coming down like this..

His face was sure terror!! Poor little buddy!! It was so funny to see his face and yet I felt so bad for him. haha It was a weird mix of emotions. I was laughing because of his face and yet my heart hurt and I was sad for him because he was so scared!! 

Silly Wyatt coming down with Ethan's snorkel stuff on. He was so excited about it because he could swim without his floaties and breath under water. 

The next time Emmett came down was the last time for the day. haha His face is just so funny!! He was cold and I think a little scared still from the previous time down the slide!! Silly kid!! 

After that the boys were ready to get out and dry off. Ethan and Emmett were shaking because they were so cold. Ethan's legs were convulsing and he thought it was so funny. Emmett thought it was hilarious to and then tried to make his legs do the same thing. 

Shortly after that Wyatt got out. He was freezing too and hunching down and waddling over. It really was super cold. 

It was not the way we thought the pool season would end. It was short lived but it was fun! :-) Plus we had some good laughs!! 

We got home after the pool and warmed the boys up with bath time. Then we made some food which was little appetizers and then had Family Home Evening. We talked about the Word of Wisdom and how we need to eat healthy and exercise to take care of our bodies. Then we ate dinner while watching the finale of American Ninja Warrior. It was a great day!! It was a great end to a fun weekend.
