Another trip to the Springs

At the end of April we decided to head down to Colorado Springs for a quick weekend trip. We figured it would be a fun change of scenery. Plus it would get the kids out and away from the house for a couple of days and they would get to play with their cousins. 

Kayden was crawling around everywhere and I spent a lot of time just following him around the house. Thankfully he was still taking 2 naps during the day so as soon as he went down for his morning nap we got the older kids set up with their school work. 

The older kids all had school work to do. So I made sure to bring our iPads so the kids could do their work and each morning the kids got on their electronics to do some school work and have a snack. 

This is a nice swing they had out in their backyard. It was quite enjoyable to swing on. haha 

Kayden seemed to think so as well. 

The piano was played on all the time as well. Since we don't have a piano at our house the kids just loved playing on their piano while we were there. Kayden especially loved it. He would crawl over to the piano most of the day. haha

He loves to walk around holding our hands. He isn't quite brave enough to walk on his own. 

Then we went on a walk. 

Kayden didn't really enjoy the walk. Im sure he wanted to get out of the stroller and play with the big kids. But I didn't really want him crawling around on the grass right then. 

Piper did my makeup one morning. So naturally I had to give Brandon a big kiss on his cheek with the lipstick that Piper put on me. haha 

Maybe we need a piano! haha 

I just love this sweet little boy so much!!! He is such a sweetheart!! 

Oh and a side note.. While we were in Colorado Springs one side of my face was all swollen from a mosquito bite that I had gotten before we headed down there. The mosquitos this year are causing this massive swelling and oozing. It is disgusting. 

Even though they don't have a big backyard the kids had a bunch of fun playing on the swing and in the sand box and watching movies. It was a quick but fun weekend! The kids had fun playing with their cousins. Since they can't play with friends right now it was nice for them to be able to play with their cousins.
