We were so excited to have Coya, Mady and Decklyn come visit. I was excited for the boys to have someone to play with since they had been getting neglected and had not been out much to see friends or play with anyone else. So it was going to be so nice for them to have someone different to play with. They had been doing so great just playing with each other all day long everyday but, I knew they needed some other children interaction. You can always tell when they have not gotten out enough when they are so excited for another adult to come over! So it was time for them to have some friends over, and what better friends than their cousins. So it was perfect. Plus I then had someone to talk to during the day as well. We still didn't do a whole lot since Emmett was still to tiny and getting nursing under control was still hard. Plus since it took so long to feed little man it made it a lot harder to get out of the house. Between feeding Emmett and getting other kids down for naps and even just ready for the day it was kind of hard to get out. We did venture out a couple of times but it was pretty crazy with basically dealing with 2 set of twins (both the cousins are about the same age) and a little baby. Other than going out to the store and to the pool we didn't go really anywhere else. It was still fun and the kids had a blast! I already mentioned my nursing problems while the crew was at our house so I won't mention it again! :-) Enjoy the pics!
Target was CRAZY!! haha We didn't get out of the house until closer to lunch time. We got some popcorn for the kids (and us :-) ) and by the time we got done it was past lunch time and Emmett needed to eat. So we turned a movie on in the car for the kids and I fed him in the car for a little bit. Just to tide him over so we could get home. Coya was so hungry she was starting to shake! So we got home and had some lunch and didn't leave the rest of the day! haha
Coya brought some water balloons when she came. You could fill up like 50 balloons at one time or something like that. They didn't work as well as we had hoped but it was still fun for the kids to watch them all get blown up and to throw them. Although, with 4 kids throwing the water balloons I think they are all gone in just a few minutes, if that! haha
Mady had her birthday while they were here. So they went swimming, had pizza and then had ice cream sunday's because that is what she wanted instead of a cake! :-)
Found a huge frog in our backyard! The kids were all so excited about this frog! haha
My beautifully done birthday ice cream cake from dairy queen!
Happy 27th Birthday to me!
While Coya was here she also said she would watch our boys so we could go on a date. So the Saturday night that she was in town we got all the kids to bed. I pumped a bottle of milk and then we headed to dinner. It was so nice being out just Brandon and I for the first time since before Emmett's arrival. We had dinner and then grabbed some stuff from the store for dinner that Sunday night. Then before heading home we went through the drive through of Freddy's to grab some concrete mixers. We bought Coya one to pay her back for watching the kids! haha Then when we got home Coya said that Emmett had not woken up yet. She rocked him back to sleep once before it was time to feed him and then he stayed asleep. So she didn't even have to use he bottle that I had pumped. So we watched a movie with Coya and I fed little man. It turned out to be an enjoyable evening! :-)
It was fun to have Coya in town. It got kind of crazy at times because the kids (especially the younger ones) would not get their naps and would be whinny and grumpy. They played really well together for the most part. There were of coarse some times of fighting and crying but they did really good together and it was fun to have them all stay at our place for the week!
