On August 20th the boys had their school open house to go to. Wyatt was super excited to meet his teacher and to see his classroom. Ethan was super excited to meet his teacher too. Thankfully my friend and I swapped with our younger kids for the open house. So I watched my friend Paiges younger 2 kids and then she watched Emmett while I went with Ethan and Wyatt to meet their teachers and see their classrooms.
As we walked through the school that day I got a little emotional realizing that my little buddy Wyatt was going to be starting school. I still can't believe he is starting school. I am just glad he is only doing half day this year so we can still have him home a good amount this year.
Ethan has Mrs. Fennimore this year and is in the "cottages" as they call them. He was so stoked to be in the cottages again this year. The nice thing is that he is in a brand new one so they have a nice new air conditioning system and all new stuff.
Wyatt has Mrs. Gephart this year. She is brand new to the school. She was hired 2 weeks before school started because they were not sure that they would need a half day teacher. Then things changed and had they enough kids enroll for half day kindergarten so they had to hire a teacher for half day last minute.
The boys were pretty excited to be starting school. Wyatt was a little bummed that he wasn't going the next day like Ethan was. They do stagard start for kindergarten. At least they now knew who their teachers were and where their classes were.
Then the boys painted pictures to send to Grandma Huntsman for her birthday.
We also had some errands to run and I decided it would be fun to get the kids some tasty slushy drinks from sonic since it was Happy Hour. After grabbing some drinks we headed to the park to play for a little bit on their last full day of summer freedom.
The boys were having a ton of fun playing and Emmett did not want to leave when it was time to go.
In fact he started screaming and crying because he didn't want to leave and he wanted his brothers. Ethan and Wyatt were slowly coming but Emmett wanted them not me. So as we left this happened....
Yep! He wanted Ethan and Wyatt to carry him. He didn't want me to carry him, which I was totally fine with. So Ethan had a turn carrying him and then Wyatt took his turn since Emmett wouldn't walk to the car. What a little stinker!! That night we had FHE and then Ethan, Wyatt and Even Emmett got a Fathers blessing that night. At first Brandon was only going to give Ethan and Wyatt one. But, Emmett wanted one so badly so he decided to anyways. Emmett was so cute sitting in the chair and being so reverent as Brandon gave him a Fathers blessing. Then the boys headed off to bed and Summer Vacation had officially ended!
