After having fun celebrating Kayden's birthday we had a few more days to spend with the cousins in town. We enjoyed some "Church at Home" with them and then went on a hike that Monday.
Nothing like a fun object lesson to intrigue the kiddos.
Tyrel and Brandon were in charge of the lessons that Sunday.
Then it was time for a Sunday walk.
We enjoyed the walk in the sunshine. The kids had fun with their cousins as we took a nice long walk.
Monday morning we got up a little earlier so that we could be out of the house just before 7 to go hike horse tooth falls. We made it to the trail head by 7:30 that morning and there were only a couple of other people on the hike. It was a beautiful morning!! A little bit chilly but with the sun out it wasn't bad at all and we were happy to be out before everyone else decided to make there way out there.
We even got to see a bunch of deer on the hill. Which the kids thought was awesome!
We were the only ones at the falls by the time we got there. It was perfect! The kids had fun exploring a little bit and we passed out a little bit of snacks before heading back down the trail.
Someone was super happy!!!
As we stopped to get the kids their waters and take group pictures Ethan swallowed water wrong right as an older couple was passing by. Brandon said that they looked over super quick like we had the plague. The craziness of living through a pandemic.
I was so glad we went on our hike when we did. There was barely anyone on the trail on our way to the falls and then on the way back to the car as we were almost done way more people were showing up. It was perfect timing!!!
Then we spent the rest of the afternoon in the backyard playing in the water. It was a hot afternoon so the kids enjoyed the slip n slide and Kayden had a blast with his water table.
Then to end the summer fun we gave out creamies! It was a fun day!!
Tuesday morning I had to run to the school to pick up the kids school stuff that was left there because of the Coronovirus not allowing the kids to go back. So the teachers had to clean out the kids desks and bag them up. Then the parents had to just go drive by during a specific time slot, hold up our kids names to the window and open up our trunk and they would put the kids stuff in. It was such a weird experience.
Then I took Emmett to pick up his last preschool packet and he was able to see the butterflies that they had been watching during preschool. He was so excited to see them!
So fun!!
These boys were sitting inside just reading the "Friend" magazine together. I thought it was pretty cute to see Tate, Wyatt and Ethan reading that together when it wasn't even Sunday!
It was a fun and busy weekend with the cousins in town. Its especially fun to see cousins right now since the kids don't get to hangout with friends right now. It is a fun break from the reality of what is going on in the world around us.
