The end of August was pretty busy. We had more fun playing in our backyard, went mini golfing, rode bikes to Freddy's, worked more on my parents closet and had open house for back to school.
Kayden is such a funny little kiddo. He will try so hard to get glasses on his face and when I would put them on him he would look so happy and then take them off after like a minute. haha
Chocolate milk and cartoons in the morning!! Kayden is trying to be like his big brothers!
We also had our friends the Barkers come over for some water balloon fun in our backyard. It was the first time the kids have been able to have friends over since this pandemic and they had so much fun!
The boys loved having Cohen and Bentley over! It was a good afternoon.

I am counting these pictures as Kayden's 15 month pictures. So an update on Kayden, he is such a happy little boy that loves to be outside and eats pretty much anything you give him. The few weeks leading up to him hitting 15 months he really started to gibber gabber. He talks in his own little language all the time. It is super cute! It reminds me of Boo on Monsters Inc. I love hearing his little voice. He says, "Go gr for go gurt, cacker for cracker and other things that I am sure I have already put in here. He is growing like a weed and it is so fun but sad at the same time.

We also went over to our friends the Oritz's house to have smore's with them in their backyard.

Fort Fun opened back up and had Tee times to help people social distance. They had a bunch of other safety precautions so we thought it would be super fun to go mini golfing again. The kids were super excited and we had a blast!!
Emmett fell off the couch while climbing on the back of it and scratched up his back. He was a sad little guy!
Also, our water in our fridge keeps freezing over. It is quite annoying! We would go to get a drink and the water would not work. So we had to blow dry it and shove hot water up the tube to get the water to work again. It started out only doing it every once every few weeks or month and then it started happening every week or every couple of days. Super annoying!!!
In home date night with some yummy wings. Brandon thought they were really spicy! haha This was a staged picture and he sprayed himself with water for it. He still thought they were super spicy but not spicy enough to sweat! haha
I also took the boys out for one on ones. I took Ethan running with me. Then Emmett biking and Wyatt pickle ball.
Emmett was super excited to ride bikes by his preschool teachers house.

Sadly, I didn't get a picture of me and Ethan running. It was a busy but fun morning.
After some one on one time we headed over to Papa and Gigi's house to work on the closet some more.

The only issue was that they won't let you use their high chairs. So... it was a stressful dinner for me. Trying to keep Kayden off the table and stop him from spilling things all over and knocking down the barriers between the booths. So dinner itself was not super enjoyable but the bike ride was fun.

Open House for School!
The boys had to wear masks and had to enter at specific doors. The parents couldn't go in with the kids to their classes so it was a different experience for all of us. The kids went in and met their teachers and brought out their school supplies. I just waited out in the car with Kayden and Emmett while the boys went in to meet their teachers. They came out excited to start school!

First Day of School!!
On August 26th the kids started online school. They were excited to start school even though it was online only. I was worried about how it was going to go for them and how much I would have to be involved while taking care of Emmett and Kayden as well.

It was going really well. They were both very optimistic by their first break!

They were good until lunch time hit. Then they were both pretty deflated! Both of them just sat outside with me for lunch and were tired of being on a screen and wearing their headphones.
After their first day of school I decided it would be a good idea to get the kids outside for some exercise before online school started.
They said that it really helped them to not feel like they needed to move around. So they enjoyed getting out for a "jog/bike ride" before school in the mornings.
Emmett found a big dragon fly on the fence and thought it was super cool!!
It was a really big one and he wanted to catch it so I told him he should. Well he did and it curled around and bit him a little bit on his finger. He was then terrified and really upset that I had convinced him to catch it. haha Poor kid!! I didn't realize it would bite! Oops!!

Movie Night
Brandon and Travis decided to rent out the movie theatre for our families and watch "Spiderman Far From Home" The kids were super excited and it was a fun evening. It was so nice having the theatre just to ourselves. We didn't worry about the little ones crawling on the floor or being noisy! So it was a great evening!
We let Kayden go to town on a hardboiled egg. haha He was not a fan! haha
We also rode our bikes to Papa and Gigi's house on a Sunday afternoon. Emmett had a hard time and would say that his legs were burning a lot of the time but he did great and made it the whole way.
It was a hot Sunday and pretty windy so it was a hard bike ride but we all made it there and back.
