The morning of Ethan's celebration was the same morning that we were leaving to Idaho. That morning at about 4 in the morning Emmett woke up with a fever. Not the best way to start our vacation. I thought maybe it was just because he was teething. However, he ended up sleeping in later that morning and he didn't really eat all that much for breakfast. During the celebration Emmett was so sad and just wanted to go back to sleep. He rarely cuddles up with me but that is all he wanted to do which was not a good sign. When we left for Idaho he slept a little bit but it was a super rough drive. Ethan and Wyatt did awesome like they always do... :-)
They were so excited to be going to Grandma and Grandpa Murri's house.
Emmett never does very well in the car on long drives but this one took the cake. He would be doing ok and then he would just start to scream and cry and I would have to take him out of his car seat and he would scream and cry for a little bit longer and then he would settle back down. He didn't drink or eat all that much on the road and just kept going in and out of sleep and crying. It was a rough car ride and we were so ready to be done with it.
The boys were a lot happier after we stopped at IN N OUT for dinner! Who wouldn't be happy after eating some yummy IN N OUT! :-)
The kids didn't go to sleep for quite a while after getting to Brans parents house. The boys were too excited to see Grandma and Grandpa and to play with them. After letting them run around for a little bit we finally got Ethan and Wyatt to go to sleep. Emmett however, had an awful time going to sleep. he would not give in and we finally decided to just go to sleep since he seemed fine as long as we were in the room with him. He woke up quite a few times that night though and would just cry and never really drank all that much he would just cry. In fact the whole time we were there he had a rough time taking naps and sleeping at night. The poor little buddy had bags under his eyes after the second night we were there.
Ethan and Wyatt had so much fun playing catch and kicking balls around in Grandma and Grandpa's house.
