On Monday my mom and I went to the gym in the morning and after that we went searching for a little leash for Emmett to wear for our hike we were planning on going on that afternoon. I guess they don't make the little backpack leashes for kids anymore because we couldn't find them anywhere. When my mom asked a lady at Babies R Us if they had them she gave her a look of disgust and said no they don't carry them anymore. So last resort we went to Petsmart and looked for some kind of leash we could use on Emmett. We got a couple of options and went home to try them out and eat lunch before heading out for a nice hike. Emmett ended up really liking the one leash that we got that had a harness on it. When Brandon went to take it off Emmett got all mad. So we left it on him around the house and Emmett kept just running laps around the house. It was almost as if he thought it gave him muscles and made him stronger and faster or something, it was hilarious! haha After eating a little something for lunch we headed out to go for a hike. It was a beautiful day and the boys were excited. However, they only made it a short distance before Wyatt was needing a drink of water and complaining and Ethan was getting tired. We didn't think we had much farther to go so we just kept plugging along. It was a lot farther than we thought it was and the boys complained quite a bit of the way up. We had to take a lot of breaks and eventually they all wanted to be carried. haha They made it almost the whole way and then they just didn't think they could go any farther. haha These pictures are a mixture of pictures that I took and my mom took! I didn't care to organize them so just enjoy them and I will enjoy the memories! :-)
Emmett really liked that dog harness! haha Especially eating bubbles while wearing it! haha
Now off to our Hike!!
What is a hike without throwing rocks! :-)
Brandon got his work out in for the day by carrying both Ethan and Wyatt for part of the way when we were getting so close!
We were all glad that we had finally arrived at our destination!
This is the face of, "I'm going to strangle you!" haha Wyatt kept taking off acting like he could do whatever he wanted. That he could do everything and that he was not going to get hurt. He started hiking up higher towards this little water fall where the rocks get steeper and he wouldn't listen to me. He has always been like that though. He is our wonderer thinking that he can do and go wherever he wants and nothing bad will happen to him. I sure hope he learns that is not the case while he is young and I am there to keep him safe!
I sure do love these three crazy boys!!
My mom took these silhouette pictures and I just love them! Super cute!
When we were almost to the water fall we came to this little area and we started telling the boys that that was the water fall we came to see. haha They just gave us these confused looks. haha I guess we couldn't trick them that easily!
Emmett was satisfied when he found a stick and started playing in the water with it.
The nice thing about boys! When there are no bathrooms in the area nature because their bathroom! haha
On the way back down the mountain the boys started to pretend that they are statues. haha Every few yards they would become a different statue! haha They were way happier going down the mountain than going up it. haha
They also were walking with GG and telling her how they wished that we lived closer to them. Thats right boys.... keep telling Grandpa and GG how much you want them to live close and maybe they will move out here because of how much they know you guys want it! :-)
After a long hike frozen yogurt sure tastes yummy!! :-) The boys were so excited to get some frozen yogurt after our hike. They were all complaining that they were hungry and hot and this was the perfect solution! :-)
