The last day before Brandon and Wyatt got their tonsils out was Memorial Day. Our ward put on a Memorial Day breakfast that morning so we went and had some breakfast burritos and donuts and then the kids got to ride their scooters in a scooter/bike parade in the parking lot. The kids had fun and I think all of us parents were expecting lots of collisions and kids getting hurt. Thankfully that didn't happen.
It was a pretty fun morning event.
After breakfast Ethan learned how to mow the lawn. I forsee Ethan's future chore! haha He was super excited that Daddy let him do some of it. He wont feel that way when it is his job. haha
After getting the grass cut we went out for a round of golf together.
and the boys found a frog.
Wyatt found it and caught it and I didn't get a picture of it in time before it jumped out of his hands. Then Ethan caught it the next time and they thought it was the coolest thing. haha We haven't really had frogs in our yard this year. So they were excited to catch this frog on the golf course.
The boys had fun golfing. After leaving his clubs at one hole and losing a couple of balls and acting like it was no big deal Brandon told him that he wouldn't be able to golf if he didn't start taking care of his stuff. Then Wyatt kept saying that he didn't want to golf. He acted like he just wanted to drive and was totally find not golfing. Brandon had to talk to him and let him know that he could still golf he just needed to pay attention and keep track of his balls and clubs better. Once he was told that then he was ready to golf again. After that was all over he was really good at keeping track of where his clubs and balls were and had a fun time smacking the golf balls the rest of the time we were out. Ethan had some pretty good shots and so did Wyatt. Emmett hit a couple times too. I think we will have lots of fun on the golf course together as a family for years to come!
