We had Tyrel and Vandy with their kids come out for Thanksgiving this year. The boys were so excited to have their cousins come for Thanksgiving. We ended up getting a ton of snow and because there was supposed to be a huge snow storm Ty and Vandy came down a day early to beat the storm. The kids ended up having a snow day the next day. So they didn't have to go to school. Although we wouldn't have sent them anyways since their cousins were here. They were sure excited about all the snow though.
We totally expected to not get as much snow as we were said to get. We figured that it would just be talked up and then have a little flurry but, it actually did dumb on us. Brandon ended up having a snow day as well. So it made for a nice break.
Here is our thankful Turkey. We even had the cousins fill out a couple of them to add to the Turkey before being done.
The kids played outside in the snow a few times and build a snow cave/tunnel with the neighbors across the street. Then they played in the basement a lot and watched some movies, played on the nintendo switch and just had fun. We also played some games all together and when the kids went to bed just the adults were able to play some games and watch some movies.
It was a lot of fun playing games, eating too much food and just having fun together. Then we started the Christmas season off right by watching "Elf" and having muddy buddies! It was delicious and a fun way to kick of the Christmas season. Then we had to say bye to the cousins and we were left to just have fun as a family.
