10 months and Mothers Day

Well Sunday was my very first official mothers day! It is crazy to think that I am a mom and I will always be a mom now and forever. I love being a mom so much, and Ethan is just getting more and more fun each day. Ya he can be a pill some times or a lot of times, but he is such a cutie and so fun and I just can't get enough. I absolutely love being a mom. It is the best blessing in my life besides having such a wonderful husband. I seriously am so blessed! I am so thankful for my mom and all that she has taught me. She has always been there for me and I have always known that I could tell her anything. I love my mother so much and I hope that I can have as good a relationship with my children as she has with me. I am also thankful for my mother in-law, she is a wonderful person and so kind. I am thankful for the mother she is and has been to Brandon which has made him into the loving and caring husband that he is to me. So thanks to these two mothers I have such an amazing life.
My mothers day went well except Ethan was still trying to get over some kind of sickness and Brandon felt nauseous the whole day. So all though it was not how I pictured my first Mothers Day it was still a good one. Well Brandon got up in the morning and took Ethan down stairs when he woke up so I could stay in bed and sleep a little longer (which is always nice!). Then when I went down stairs Brandon was getting his Mothers Day surprise ready for me. And this is what it was....

A homemade edible arrangements!! haha He is so cute! I loved it!!! :-)
It was so yummy!!
Ethan thought so too!
So that was Mothers Day. Then the day was pretty much the same which is not a bad thing! :-)
Now off to the next topic. Our little man is now 10 months old!! How in the world did that happen?? It seems like just yesterday I had him and he was so little and totally dependent on me and Brandon. He was so tiny and cute back then and now he is much bigger and just gets cuter and cuter all the time! haha He is such a funny little boy with so much personality. We have so much fun chasing him around the house as he screams and crawls away. He also gets us so frustrated when we try to change his diaper and as soon as he is clean before we can get his diaper on he is trying to flip over and crawl away, it is a major struggle in our house. However, he brings so much laughter into our home and I love it. Ethan is all over the place just wanting to explore everywhere and pull himself up to everything and anything that he can. Also on Sunday, the day that he turned 10 months old he started going from crawling to sitting up. I love that he can crawl and then sit up all by himself it is fun. The scary thing is that the next step is standing up by himself and then walking.. AHHH I think I am scared for when he starts walking. Excited but scared! haha Ethan loves to give himself kisses in the mirror and I love that he gives us kisses it is so much fun.
He likes to point with his whole hand when he is looking at something or wants to go touch something. He is a great eater these days, probably because he gets all these different foods and not just formula.
Finger foods he loves: Spaghetti, kraft macaroni and cheese, cooked carrots, bananas, strawberries, pizza, bread, beans (kidney and black), watermelon (he eats his watermelon like a starved animal! haha it is hilarious!! I will try to get a picture of it one of these days.), tomatoes, french fries, cheese (cheddar and mozzarella), corn, grapes (which I think he just swallows the halves that I give him instead of chewing them up! I have seen evidence! haha)and cubed chicken not shredded he just takes it out of his mouth if it is shredded. I am sure there is more I just can't think of them and this list is pretty long anyways. haha
He will still eat his baby food but I can't give him too much in one meal because he gets really tired of being fed the pureed stuff. Which I am not complaining I would much rather have him just eat what we are eating even if it does require me to give more thought into what he is going to eat!
Some of the snacks that he loves include: Cheerios, little crunchies by gerber pretty much any of the flavors, nutrigrain bars, Nilla wafers, and ritz crackers.
He barely drinks any formula anymore which is also fine with me as long as he is drinking enough water during the day. Which by the way he LOVES water.
Anyways, he is such a cute kid and we love him so much. He loves to scrunch his nose and he looks so cute when he does it. Although with his two top teeth in sometimes he looks kind of evil when he does it. haha He is pretty social and I am just wondering how he will be when he is walking and talking. It is so crazy how fast they grow up. It is sad and so exciting at the same time. I love being a mom and I love my little family!

What cuties!!
On another note, our garden is getting HUGE! We are kind of worried about when our melon plants get big, but we did not really think about that when we planted everything!
Our very first Zucchini almost ready!! I love having a garden!

The last little while!

So Brandon and I took Ethan to the park and he was pretty tired so we were not there for long.

However we did get a good smile out of him on the swings! :-)

We decided to make homemade jam because strawberries were on sale for 99 cents and Brandon does not really like store bought jam. So we made some yummy strawberry jam.
Yummy strawberries!!
The finished product.

It sure was yummy! As soon as it was all set up and done we had to have a taste! It was well worth making the jam and it was super easy! So we will be doing this more often.

It was also Ethan's very FIRST Easter. Brandon and I dyed some eggs the night before Easter. I love dying eggs for Easter and of coarse we made deviled eggs after and they were so.. yummy!
Ethan and his Easter basket! He really liked it! :-)
His new bunny!! I think he really liked it!
The best face ever!!! hahaha Little did he know that there was a surprise for him inside the egg. Peach yogurt melts yum!! We did not hide any eggs because one we don't have grass and two Ethan would not know what to do and it was only him. If we did it with other kids than maybe. So next year will be more fun because we will hide some eggs for him to find.

We went to Chick-fil-a yesterday and Ethan got his very first chicken strip. He ate almost the whole thing!! He really likes it when we go out to eat because he gets some yummy stuff. Then of coarse he was completely fascinated with the balloons so we had to get one for him and he really liked it. Except after a little bit he started getting frustrated with it. It was pretty funny! He is such a cute kid!
Our garden is growing really well. I had to take a picture of our first baby zucchini!! :-) I was so excited to see this little guy!!
This was our first flower on our zucchini plant!! These flowers are so big and pretty!
The overall picture of our garden! It is funny that the zucchini is as big as our corn! :-)
Well that is about it for this post!
