Girls Trip

On May 26th I left with Vandy and her 2 cute girls Piper and Kemry to drive to St. George for our girls trip. I was not looking forward to the long 10 hour drive but thankfully Brandon had enough points to get a hotel room in Grand Junction. So we were able to at least break up the drive to St. George since we were planning on driving back in one day. After putting Kayden down for a nap we decided we might as well take off. Brandon was not able to get home early enough to say bye so we took off just before 2.

We stopped for dinner at a pizza place in Grand Junction before heading to the hotel.

Then we took the girls swimming. We had to get a reservation to go to the pool and thankfully when I asked about it there was no one on the register for right then. So I ran back to the car after checking us in and told the girls we needed to hurry so we could go swimming because we only got an hour. So we hurried and got changed and went down to the pool. Sadly, there was no hot tub. I was really hoping to sit in the hot tub. Since there was no hot tub and we only had about 40 minutes of swim time I didn't really want to get in the water all the way. So Vandy and I just watched the girls while we put our feet in the water. They had a lot of fun for the short amount of time that we had. Then it was clean up time and popcorn/ find something to watch on T.V. before heading to bed.
I somehow got a bite right under my eye and it was causing under my eye to swell. So fun!!!

So I put tooth paste on it in hopes that it would take some of the swelling down while I slept. Thankfully, by morning some of the swelling had gone down. It was still swollen but not much!
Then we were back on the road!
We made it to Beaver Utah and stopped for some lunch at this creamery!

It was a cute place. Food items on one side, a shopping area in the middle and the other side had their ice cream!

This salad was really yummy! Its funny because when we asked the girls what they wanted for lunch before getting there they both said, "salad!" haha So this was the perfect place.
Silly Piper!! She enjoyed her salad!

The ice cream was so... yummy!!! After tasting it we both agreed it would be a fun stop on the way back home that Sunday as well. Sadly, we found out that it wouldn't be open by the time we were driving through that following Sunday!! At least we stopped that time! The next time we are driving down past Beaver again we will be stopping there for sure!!

We finally made it to the house and were glad to get out of the car and stretch our legs.

We waited for Lee and Grandma Huntsman to get there and then took the girls swimming for a little bit before grabbing dinner.
They were so excited to be swimming. They were talking about it as soon as we got there. haha

The rest of the crew arrived late that night and then the real fun began Friday. We played games, went swimming, shopping, the Tuacan Theatre and ate lots of yummy food!! It was a lot of fun. It did kind of feel weird to be the only one that didn't have anyone there. Grandma Huntsman had her daughter Lee, Lee had Coya, Coya had Mady, Vanyd had her two girls and Devin had Kaelyn. So I did kind of feel like a 10th wheel but it was fun and I was able to chill when I wanted to and I didn't have any other responsibility except for myself. So that was kind of nice! Plus I was able to enjoy my nieces which was fun!

Th line at IN N OUT was super long!
Totally worth it though!! haha

I even got to go lay out by the pool with some tasty swig. Everyone else was in the condo and their daughters wanted to watch a movie so they stayed inside. So I took advantage and went and laid out which I like never get to do at home. So that was enjoyable!

Then Brandon sent me some pictures of what they guys were doing. They went to Top Golf!

Kayden played in Brandon's car....

And they went and played pickle ball!!

They seemed to have a lot of fun while we were gone!

Brandon also had the idea of getting all the girls matching earings. So we found some magnetic ones and regular ones on Amazon and I was able to give them out to all the girls before we went to the Theatre to see the play "Beauty and the Beast" The girls were pretty excited!

Some tasty food right before going to the Theatre!

The Tuacahn!

I had never been to the Tuacahn before so this was pretty fun. It is such a cool area right in front of the red rocks. The performance was really good and the little girls all seemed to like it. They even stayed awake the whole time. Piper wanted to sit by me which I was more than happy to let her. When she got tired she would go between sitting on my lap to her moms and back again. It was funny. You could tell she was trying to stay awake! It was a fun but late night!

My black sandals make my feet look really dirty! Yuck!! haha

Saturday we went shopping because the little girls really wanted to go shopping.

We spent most of the time in Claires as they looked for little jewelry they could wear. haha It is funny being around a bunch of little girls. It is so different than being with my boys. I am not a huge shopper so after I while I was really to be done and just walked around aimlessly waiting for everyone else to be done. haha

Then it was time for the pool again.
After about an hour of playing and chasing after my nieces I called it quits and layed out for a bit.

It was a good way to end the afternoon. Sitting in the chair with yet another swig soda and soaking in the warm sun.

I hadn't planned on getting a swig that Saturday so I got a large Soda when we went out for lunch. The Lee said she would take everyones orders and go pick it up. So I had 2 sodas that day. I didn't finish the regular diet coke but I sure drank enough to last me a whole week. haha

Pizza!!!

We ended the evening with going to get pizza and then Lee had a little lesson planned talking about Grandma Huntsman and her life.

It was really cute!! Grandma Huntsman was a little embarrassed at first but that got excited to tell us about her life growing up and how different it was from how things are now. It was so fun to hear her stories!

It was a great time getting to spend solid time with these 4 ladies!
I fell lucky that we all get along so well!

Such a cute picture of Kemry listening to Grandma Huntsman tell us about her life!

Then sadly, we were on the road again!

We stopped in Beaver again but this time just for some gas. The creamery didn't open until 11 that day and it was only 9:30. So we quickly grabbed some snacks and gas and were off on the road again.

By the time we hit the mountains it was snowing a little. The temperature got down to the 30's. We were so glad that we were not stopping to get out at that point. None of us had clothes for cold weather. We were all in shorts! haha Thankfully, the roads stayed clear and we were able to make it home in good timing.

By the time we got home we were so glad to get out of the car. The girls did so good being in the car that day and didn't get car sick at all. Which was great!!
Monday morning was Memorial Day so we spent some time playing at the park and I enjoyed being back with my family!

Look at that sweet face!
We also took Tyrel and Vandy to see Brandon's new office.

The office is coming along so nicely! It looks so different with sheet rock up on the walls. It will be nice when it is all done!!
Tuesday morning the crew took off and Brandon was back to work. So life was back to normal for just a little bit. It was a fun weekend away. Went super quick but it was fun. I was glad to be back with my little family though and to enjoy the start of our Summer break together!
