Back at home!

Our first morning back from our trip Kayden had his well check. Thankfully, he did not have to get shots. The only negative thing is that they took his blood pressure and said that it was a little high for his age so they wanted to get him back in for 3 or 4 more blood pressure checks in the next 3 weeks. That made me a little nervous. I didn't want my sweet little boy to have blood pressure issues because he has a non functioning kidney. Other than that he is super healthy. So after his well check we ran some errands and just hung out with Brandon's parents. That evening after the kid got home from school we went to the church gym with the Ortiz's to play some knock out for a little bit.

Look at that happy face!! Kayden was so happy to be put down on the ground to crawl around and play with a ball.

Then Saturday morning we had Ethan's last basketball game to go to. He was super excited to go play in his last game. He did a great job and actually got fouled and got to take some free throws.

He made one of them and was pretty stoked.
While Ethan played Kayden was trying to break free from our arms. So Brandon put his hat on him.

Kayden was so funny with Brandon's hat on. He just froze completely! He barely moved. haha He would shift his eyes around a little bit but that was it. Then when we took the hat off he would start moving around again until the hat went back on. It was so funny!

We finally got a team picture and then the season was over. Ethan had a great season and really learned a lot.

After Ethan's game we headed home to eat some lunch. I had to run out and grab Wyatt from a friends birthday party and then we got home in time for me to eat some lunch before we took off to go walk a CSU basketball game.

Kayden had a blast playing with the water bottle. He thought it was super funny when Grandma popped it. He laughed so hard every time she pushed on it and it popped.

He was so wiggly it was really tiring and we kept passing him back and forth between me, Grandma and Grandpa.

We had great seats and were right next to the cheerleaders. So the boys were screaming and dancing and trying to get them to give them shirts and other free stuff. All 3 boys got Chick-Fil-A shirts and Wyatt was picked for a free pizza. They were so excited to get all this free stuff. Anytime we go to a game like this the boys hope to get some free thing. The fact that they each got something and Wyatt got 2 things was super exciting for them.

We had a good time and the Rams scored enough 3 pointers that we also were able to get free 8 count nuggets for each of our tickets we bought. So it was a win win for all of us. haha

Kayden was not too sure about the conch shell we brought home. The kids were super excited about the gifts we brought home for them. We the 3 older boys these cute little turtles that were made from lava rock and something else as well as a shirt for each other them. They were super excited about the conch shell we brought home. Surprisingly they did a good job blowing it. Emmett did the best at first and then Wyatt and Ethan got the hang of it.

On Sunday after church Grandma Murri had a Family Home Evening lesson for us about the importance of learning about our ancestors. Grandma Murri did a great job talking about her parents and grandparents as well as Grandpa Murri's family. It was a great lesson!

Then Grandpa Murri added a couple of thoughts and stories about his parents and then we ended the lesson and got changed into comfy clothes. It was fun spending some time with them before they left back to Idaho. Thankfully, we had the rest of the day to spend with them and then Brandon took them to the airport early Monday morning.

Reading out loud!

On February 20th the day before Brandon and I headed out for St. Lucia, Wyatt had his turn at reading in front of his class. He was pretty excited about it the night before. So Thursday morning we got the kids all ready for school and then after they took off on the bus the rest of us finished getting ready and left to go watch Wyatt read. Wyatt did a fantastic job. He really came to life in front of his classmates. He was using such great expression in his reading and was just so stinking cute up there in front of everyone. He is such a character!

It was so great being able to go watch him read to his classmates. I am glad that I didn't miss it. He is such a funny kid. He loves to be in the spot light and it is so fun to watch.

And our sweet little Kayden fell asleep on the way home from school. Poor little buddy was so tired. Sadly, he does not transfer well anymore and he was up after that for a little bit. It was totally worth going though. I loved watching Wyatt interact with his classmates!!!
