The next week of no work and no school we spent with lots of relaxing, playing games and getting ready to go down to Colorado Springs. We also took the boys to see the new Puss and Boots movie. It was a lot better than we expected it to be. Kayden thought it was cool and even yelled out "WOW" a few times during the movie. It was pretty funny!
Brandon also took Ethan in to his office to fix up his teeth.
It looked so good all fixed up. Ethan is becoming more self aware of his looks as he gets older and gets a little embarrassed about his teeth. So he was super happy to have Dad make his teeth look like normal teeth.
Ethan was able to work with some Dental tools while they waited for his crowns to finish.
Then we were off to Colorado Springs for a few days. John and Coya had just moved to the Springs and Mike and Lee were there too. So we figured it would be fun to see everyone.
Our first stop was of course IN N OUT!
Then we had to stop at Fizz for some tasty drinks.
Sadly, these are the only pictures I got of our few days in Colorado Springs. I am not sure why I was so bad at taking pictures this time around. We spent some time at the church gym playing Pickleball and I played some hide and seek with the kids and they ran around and played as well. They were trying to get some wiggles out since it was too cold to play outside. We played some games in the evenings and even had the older kids watch the younger kids so we could play some games altogether. Blane was sick and having a rough go so he needed to get to bed and we wanted to play some games so we went to John and Coya's to play. Sadly, we ended up leaving and the kids were all scared because Decklyn and Mady were showing them scary videos and talking about scary stuff. Which I told them not to do. Yet they did. So our boys kept having bad dreams and being scared to go anywhere in the dark by themselves. It drives me crazy! But we did have fun and we were glad to be back home to spend a couple of days letting the kids get better sleep. haha
On New Years Eve we went to MOD Pizza for dinner. Then afterwards we played some minute to win it games with the kids. It was such a fun night! I was so glad that we were home to play these games with the kids and enjoy time with them. Papa and Gigi also joined us for the festivities. It was a fun night!
We had so many laughs that evening and danced round and played and just had a blast. Then the kids got to bang pots and pans which Kayden LOVED this year. We yelled Happy New Year and then the kids were off to bed. Brandon and I ended the night with some Rumi with my parents. It was a good end to the year! It has been yet another crazy year. I have had some better days with my pain issues but it has not fully gotten better. Plus with my tailbone causing me issues it has just felt like a long time of dealing with pain. The boys have been growing so fast and it is crazy to watch them change so quickly! They are getting too big too fast and it is fun and sad at the same time. We have had some financial frustrations, health frustrations and just trying to enjoy our sweet family! We are excited for what 2023 will bring us!
