Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve Wyatt woke up and was down stairs watching TV. He said he was feeling a lot better. I was glad he was feeling better. We didn't want him to feel sick on Christmas. As soon as the boys got back from Denver we were all ready to build our Graham cracker Gingerbread houses. Papa and Gigi came over to decorate houses with us. I even decorated one this year. It was a fun event.

Poor Wyatt wasn't quite better yet. He was starting to feel better but you could tell he still wasn't feeling great!

Kayden tried his best this year. He did pretty good for being 3. Then before long he was ready to just eat it. haha

Emmett had fun building his. However, we didn't have the best frosting to made our houses with so some of them kept crumbling. Emmett got pretty frustrated that his house kept collapsing. Eventually he got Papa to help his house stay standing.

This was Brandon's

This was my finished product!

Gigi's was in a really bad snow storm. haha

Papa's finished product.

Wyatt's finished product! You can tell by his house decorations that he wasn't feeling great! Poor kiddo!

Emmett's finished product.

Ethan's finished product!

Then Kayden decided that his Dad's needed more sprinkles. haha
He also decided that he needed to eat all those extra sprinkles. haha

Look at all those cool houses!

Ethan being a good kid and helping clean up the massive mess we all made.

Relaxing by the fire while Wyatt took his nap.

Then we were off to Nordy's for our annual Christmas Eve dinner.

It sure was tasty! Wyatt was not feeling good when he woke up from his nap. I was about to say he should just lay down and watch something while we were out. Brandon told him to take some meds and get in the car. He said he would feel better after getting some food in his tummy. I was just worried he was going to throw up while we were in the car or at the restaurant. Thankfully he never did. He also drank some sprite and ate a couple of bites of some meat and corn fritters. He started to feel a little better after his medicine kicked in and he had a little bit of food in him. So that was nice to see him perk up a little bit.

Kayden wanted to play in the backyard in the snow for a little bit when we got home from dinner. So we made some mini snowmen and tossed a couple of snow balls in the yard.

Then before we knew it the elves had dropped off Santa's cookies mix!
Time to make Santa's cookies!

Kayden did not want to touch it with his hands. haha

We then got to open up ornaments. Which the kids were very excited about! This year the theme was travel. Since it was the first time the kids had been out of the country I thought it would be a good idea to do ornaments centered around travel.

Tourist Mickey!

Toothy Shark

A tropical snowman (sandman). Wyatt loved the little turtle on it which I knew he would. haha

Sand castle making.

Lastly, I got an ornament for me and Brandon this year. I don't have it pictured but it was Santa, reindeer and a melted snowman sitting in a hot tub. haha

To end our Christmas Eve we went and saw some Christmas lights. We were supposed to go see the lights a couple of weekend before this but it got canceled because of the weather. We had some single digits in December which we rarely get that early in the Winter season. So we finally made it on Christmas Eve.

It was freezing cold so we packed up hot Chocolate and drove around to see some lights before calling it a night.

Kayden was super tired by the end of the evening. He was falling asleep on Gigi's lap. haha
Of course by the time we got them in bed they were all talking and couldn't seem to settle down. Kayden wanted to sleep with his brothers. I was trying to keep them separated from Wyatt since he was still sick but they ended up really wanting to all be together since that was the original plan for Christmas Eve. So we finally gave in and let them all sleep in the bedroom together. Even Karen got to sleep with his brothers which he was super excited about. He ended up coming down a couple of times and had a hard time going to sleep. He also said he was hungry. Which was our bad. We had dinner at like 2. We were going to feed them toast and fruit that evening but then got busy and forgot. So I brought some bars upstairs to let whoever wanted to eat something. Kayden as the only one that wanted anything. Then they were off to dream land listening to The Santa Clause Record Tape and excited for Santa to come!!
