We ended January with some Ice Skating fun. The kids had been wanting to ice skate so badly so we decided to go on a nice afternoon. We picked up the boys a little early from school so that we could get there before the crowds did. There were only a couple of people there when we got there. The ice rink was in terrible condition. It was super bumpy and had a bunch of puddles but the kids had fun still. Shortly after getting to the rink Papa couldn't find his phone. He thought he had left it at their house so he took Kayden and went back to their house to look for his phone. He was gone basically the whole time we were ice skating. He finally got back right in time for most of us to be done skating. All of our ankles were starting to hurt from our skates. So we were ready to be done. Ethan was the last one to get off the ice! It was a fun afternoon. We went to dinner with Papa and Gigi afterwards to end evening.
The ice seemed slicker than normal because of the water puddles. It was also extremely bumpy. I don't think I have been on a rink that was in such bad condition. Oh well, it was still fun and the kids loved it! Emmett even got the hand of it a little bit and was able to go about 5 feet on his own.
