The rest of July

We had a busy month of July like usual. After Ethans Birthday Brandon and Ethan took off for High Adventure. So Brandon and I spent our anniversary apart this year. Good thing we went to Hawaii in May to celebrate. Then we had my Birthday and some bike rides and just enjoying some summer time. It was a pretty good month.

It is so fun to see the progress on our house. We go over all the time just to see if anything has changed. Our hole for our foundation is huge!!

The boys want to go play on the dirt hill as often as possible.

We find lots of frogs at our lot. The kids are going to find frogs all over the place when we live there. haha

Wyatt got bored of going to the pool really quick this summer. I don't know why he gets to bored of swimming. I loved swimming when I was younger. Since I was taking the kids swimming Wyatt decided that he was going to bring his scriptures and just read by the pool. I told him he had to wear his swim suit just in case. He ended up swimming a little bit but most of his time was spent reading his scriptures for their challenge which I will mention later.

The rest of the crew had a blast. I think Wyatt didn't want to swim because Ethan was not there to play with him. With Ethan off at High Adventure I think Wyatt was bored. Emmett and Kayden had a lot of fun at the pool. So it all worked out.

Pizza at Costco is a great idea when I don't want to cook because Brandon is gone. haha

Calvin Rush came to play while his Dad was at work and his Mom was at girls camp. So he hung out for the day. I thought it would be great and it turned out to be a hard thing for Emmett. Wyatt kept playing with Calvin and in a way excluding Emmett. So Emmett was super upset because Calvin was supposed to be there to play with him. Yet he kept playing with Wyatt. So it made for a rough morning. I had to tell Emmett that he had to compromise and figure out what other people wanted to play. Not just was he wanted to play. It all worked out but it was not as smooth sailing as I thought it would be.

Kayden didn't want ice cream in his ice cream cone. It made me think of his cousin Remy who only eats the cones. haha

Foundation is prepped!!!!!
CRAZY!!!

Wyatt decided to eat the cement on our walk one morning. He was not a happy camper after that. The other boys played at the little play ground on our walk and then we made our way home with Wyatt crying.

Then since Brandon and Ethan were gone I decided to take Wyatt and Emmett to Fort Fun to let them use their free pass they got from school.

They got to ride the go carts. I conned Gigi into coming with us so she could ride with Emmett and I wouldn't have to risk sitting in that go kart and getting jerked around.

Kayden was a little bummed he couldn't go on with them.

The boys enjoyed riding the go karts. Then we played some arcade and went home.

Brandon and Ethan then got home. They were so tired and dirty from their adventure. Brandon said he didn't get much sleep at all so he was exhausted and couldn't wait to sleep in our bed that night.

Emmett and Kayden helping wash Brandon's car.

A fun evening at Papa and Gigi's house. Gigi put up their little tent to see if it was still in good condition. So the boys sat in it for a little bit. Kayden wanted to keep going in it. He wanted to sleep in there. haha

Then after throwing the foot ball around they were too hot. So they all decided they needed to take their shirts off to keep playing foot ball. It was pretty funny to watch them.

Another morning walk. These boys are such pansys when it comes to hot weather. I lot the heat and they all complain that it is too hot. haha This was shortly after leaving for our walk they all wanted drinks. Good thing I came prepared this time.

Slip N Slide time!

This was the first time we have gotten our slip n slide out and the boys had a blast. Kayden LOVED it!! This was the first summer that he actually played on it and didn't just slip on it and get scared. haha

Brandons medal from a golf tournament. What a goof! haha

Look at our foundation walls!! We are starting to get pretty excited about our house. Although, I look at this and wonder how all of our rooms and everything fitting in this space. Brandon thinks I am crazy and thinks maybe we went too big. It is funny how I can't comprehend the size. I know it looks big but when I start thinking of everything going inside it doesn't make sense how it is all going to fit and feel like it gives us lots of space. I guess we shall see.

This dead mouse was something the boys found. Of course Emmett would be one to pick it up. He picked up the dead mouse and Ethan told him not to and to put it down. I told him that was disgusting and that he better not touch his face now that he touched a dead mouse. It was windy that afternoon so the dirt kept blowing in their eyes. Sure enough Emmett starts rubbing his eyes. SO GROSS!!! I made him come off the dirt hill and used some wipes in my car and hand sanitizer to clean his hands. I still can't believe he picked up a dead mouse. So Nasty!!!

Water proofing is done on our cement too!! Next step is the floor and then the walls can go up.

We also went on a bike ride with Papa and Gigi. We parked in Windsor by a trial head and rode our bikes down to Dairy Queen.

It was a nice ride and an even better destination. It was fun! Emmett and Kayden of course complained about the ice cream we got. Then they ended up liking it. So picky!!

Those are tree roots! Not from our trees but, from our neighbors massive trees. The roots have been getting so bad that you can't walk on the grass without sandals on because you step on hard roots. Which hurts bare feet. So Brandon decided to hack at them and try pulling some out of our yard. I can't believe how big the roots were. Stinking trees!!!

Dessert at Costco!

A couple in our ward decided to put together a get together with the ward. They wanted to do Smore's and hot dogs with whoever would come. So we signed up to go and went to enjoy an evening with some of our ward family.

Ethan and Wyatt did really good at roasting their marshmallows. Emmett and Kayden had a blast running around with other kids that were there. It turned out to be a fun evening.

We were at our lot and Kayden of course needed to go pee. So Brandon had him mark his territory on our house walls. haha Ethan thought it was hilarious.

There is our sewer line going all the way out towards the lake. That is a long sewer line.

Before we knew it it was my Birthday. Brandon found a great deal on a pebble ice maker on Prime Day so he got it for me for my Birthday instead of waiting until our house is done. haha

So I had the boys help me wash it and get it ready to make some ice.

Tyrel and Vandy and their crew came to visit too. Vandy brought me a Fiz drink and some flowers and Kemry and Piper both made me cards. It was very sweet. We then went to MOD pizza for dinner and hung out.

Yay for Ice cream cake!!!! It was a good Birthday!

Then we took the kids to Fort Fun for some mini golf and Vandy and I had to get some soda.

While we were golfing Kayden had to make sure to give me some leaves and Emmett gave me a flower. So I sported both. haha

We also took the cousins to the dirt hill to play before going swimming. All the kids enjoyed the dirt hill but they got hot fast. So it was short lived. Then we went to the pool and had the kids shower off in the showers at the pool before going swimming.

Look at all those cute kids!

Kayden likes to lay by me while we watch movies. He then feeds me pieces of popcorn even if I didn't want any. haha He is a silly kid!

While the crew was over we did burgers and hot dogs as well as home made french fries. I ended up slicing open my thumb on the mandolin. It hurt and it grossed me out. It took a while to fully heal.

Lastly, the boys and I went with Gigi to help clean the Temple grounds.

Kayden did not last long. The only thing that kept him happy was finding the dead stems on some plants and gathering them up. He wanted to keep them. The other boys did a good job but it was a pretty hot day. So we went and got drinks after to reward them for their hard work. While we were there I brought our UE BOOM so we could listen to music while we work. I guess it was offensive because a mom came over and asked if we could turn the music down because her daughters don't get to go to the temple often and it was too loud. So I guess it was offensive to her while they were working on the temple grounds. I just wanted to listen to music while we did yard work. Oh well, I will remember for next time not to bring anything.
