A busy July begins

Once they started digging it went pretty fast. We were amazed at how fast they were digging out our foundation.

It is already looking so big.

Then we went swimming. Mike and Lee stayed at our house for a few days after the reunion before heading home. So they got to join us with some summer fun.

The kids loving having both sets of grandparents around.

Then we rode our bikes to Chick Fil A with the whole crew.

We love riding bikes to dinner. We try to do it as much as we can when the weather is nice.

Sorry Kayden you can not go home with Grandma and Grandpa Murri in their cooler. haha

Ethan's Birthday gift from Grandma and Grandpa. They gave him his present before they took off to head back to Idaho.

Its getting even bigger!!! haha

Fourth Of July Fun!

On the Fourth of July we went and played some mini golf and then went back to Papa and Gigi's house for dinner and fireworks before the big firework show.

Gigi told the boys that whoever got a hole in one would get 5 bucks. But if someone made a hole in one after that person did then they would have to give their 5 bucks to that person. It was game on after that. Funny thing is we did not expect Kayden to be the first one to get a hole in one. So he was thrilled when he got the 5 dollars. Then when Wyatt made a hole in one and we tried to get Kayden to give him the money Kayden started crying. Gigi ended up just getting out another 5 dollar bill for the older boys to fight over. haha Kayden got to keep his since he is only 4 and did not really understand the rules of the game. So he got to keep his money and he was super excited to have money to spend at Scheels. haha I believe Wyatt was the last one to get a hole in one. So he ended with them money. It is so funny though the kids wanted to play in the arcade too after doing mini golf. However, Emmett and Kayden were done by the time we were getting close to finishing the round of golf. So Brandon took them into the arcade. Papa and Gigi asked if the boys wanted to play the other side. They did and we spend another hour playing mini golf while Brandon was off with the 2 younger kids in the arcade. So when we were done golfing Brandon was super done and ready to go home. So Ethan and Wyatt through fits because they wanted to play in the arcade. They complained saying, "Dad said we could play in the arcade too." so we had to point out that they played 2 rounds of golf instead of just 1 and that is why we were not playing in the arcade. So we left with grumpy kids. It is always the best feeling after doing something fun for your kids and they complain because they want more.

These guys sat outside to eat their dinner for a few minutes before the rain started falling again.

The annual 4th of July dessert that I now make every year.

Then we did some fireworks out in the front in between the rain.

We would shoot a few fireworks off and then the rain would start again. So we would go back inside and then when the rain stopped we would head back out to do more fireworks.

We were afraid with the stormy weather that this was going to be the only fireworks we would get to see this year.

At the last minute we decided to go to our lot and watch the fireworks because they decided not to cancel the fireworks. It was way colder than we anticipated it would be and it was way wetter. So when we got to our lot and drove around the mountains of dirt hills we carefully walked around all the mud piles and tried to enjoy the fireworks in the drizzly wet cold weather.

Everyone was freezing and thankfully I had towels in the back of my car so we let the boys use them like blankets. haha We were just glad that the firework show was not canceled.

After the show Kayden didn't even make it half way home before he fell asleep. He was so tired!

We didn't use the little snake firework things. So the boys enjoyed doing those in the street the next day.

I also had to take Kayden in for his annual eye check. He had to get his eyes dilated at this appointment. So it was a longer one and Kayden just kept wanting to go home.

It was hard to keep him happy while we sat their for what felt like forever. haha His prescription has changed a little bit. His eyes have gotten a little worse. The doc said that they will probably improve when he gets a little older. So hopefully that is the case. I just don't want his eye sight to keep getting worse.

We also went bowling with my parents again.

The kids really enjoy bowling especially when we go with Dad and Papa and Gigi. Although Ethan was not enjoying it this time because he was not doing very well. haha My kids are not competitive at all. haha

Our hold is HUGE!!!! It is fun to watch the progress that is happening. The hole seems so massive. Brandon thinks we bit off more than we can chew. haha I guess we shall see how it goes! Fun to have a picture of our sweet little family at this stage of our house since this is our last move until me and Brandon can't handle it. We are pretty excited about our house!
