Two weekends ago Brandon got home from school and I suggested we have a campout in our backyard. We had been wanting to do it for a while so that we could get Ethan used to camping and sleeping in a tent so that we can actually go camping. The last time we went camping Ethan did not do very well. So we decided to try camping in our backyard first. So that Friday night we got the tent out and we started the fire in our fire pit outside and made tin foil dinners, roasted marshmellows, and slept in the tent (until 10:00 that night and then we went inside because of stupid dogs barking non stop, and car driving by and our AC turning on every 10 minutes! haha) Ethan did really well falling asleep with us still in the tent. We just had to act like we were sleeping and he would check to make sure that we were still sleeping like every 5 minutes for a half hour and then after playing with the tent and his pack n play he finally fell asleep. If it wasnt for the stupid dogs and motorcycles and cars driving by we probably would have been able to be out in the tent all night. However, Ethan got woken up by all of the dogs and then was very upset for being woken up so we went inside and he went right to sleep! Other than that Ethan LOVED playing in the tent! He had a blast!! So here are some pictures from that evenings events!

He didnt like it very much! He tasted it and then looked at it and started picking at it saying gross! haha Someday he will enjoy the yumminess of roasted marshmallows! haha
So we gave him a plain non cooked marshmallow and he was happy!
We had so much fun camping out in our backyard! It was very spontaneous and we loved it! Much better than the usual Friday night of just hanging out inside watching something! :-) I think Ethan would have done great if we were in the great out doors away from all of the noise! So maybe we will venture out and actually go somewhere to go camping next time! haha Anyways, that was our little adventure in our backyard here in AZ! :-)
