April: The month we moved out of our Banner st. house!

April was a busy month! I took Kayden to the Windsor Rec Center to play during the free play time. Kayden had a blast playing with his friends with a bunch of things that we don't have. We also had to finish packing up our house to move. We had to get a storage unit to put some of the stuff in before we listed it. Then once it was close enough to us moving we starting packing everything else up to put in the storage unit and then we were moving into my Mom and Dads until we could move into our house. So we officially had a lot of packing to do. I feel like once you take pictures off the walls it doesn't feel as much like home as it did before. So we were pretty ready to move out. It did feel weird taking everything down and apart and packing it all up. Here are some pictures from the month.

Ethans hair had gotten really long! haha Last hair cuts in our first home in Colorado!

Kayden was so excited to help Gigi with the mallet to take down our storage shelves.

These were some toys that Kayden did not want us to pack. I think he was afraid that the toys that we were boxing up and taking away were going to be gone forever. I tried explaining it to him many times but he was very sad about his toys being taken away. He just kept grabbing ones that he thought he really needed. It sure is hard to understand the moving process when you are 4.

We also got to go to the Mall to see an art project that Emmett had made at school that won and was being displayed at the Mall for everyone to see. It was pretty cool that he got chosen to have his artwork on display.

After a long time of Wyatt complaining about his shoulder hurting him I decided to take him into my amazing PT Sam. He was given some exercises and cupped while there. She even showed him a star cup the she had. So of course he wanted it on him and for her to do it enough that he could get a mark or bruise of a star on him. haha weirdo!!

Just enjoying a very pretty sunset on our drive home from somewhere.

Loading up the trailer to go put our stuff in storage.

Nice to have a bunch of strapping young men to help out with all the heavy lifting. Plus Papa and Gigi came to help.

Another piece of art that Emmett did. He is quite the little artist.

Trying to fit everything into our storage unit. It was a tight fit by the time we had everything in there. haha

After all of that craziness, we went to a Nuggets game with some friends.

It was a fun evening! The boys always love going to Nuggets games! It is a pretty fun atmosphere!

Kayden and Emmett love the note pads that they have in the Mariott by the Ball Arena. They just want to draw and make paper airplanes with the paper.

Our driveway was finally getting shaped. It's going to be MASSIVE!!

Also, our front door was finally delivered!! YAY!!! We are getting close!

Moving Day!! I had to take a picture of Wyatt and Emmett riding to Bethke for their last time! Our house is much farther from Bethke now and it will be hard to ride to school from there. So they had to take advantage one more time!! Plus Wyatt was going to graduate and move on up to the Middle school after this year. So it truly was Wyatts last time of riding his bike to his school! It felt really weird taking this picture and knowing that it was the last morning in our house. I had my last 2 babies in this house. I closed a chapter of my life in this house. There were many good memories in this house. Super excited to move to our next house and the many memories we will make there. Just still a little weird leaving this house that has been our home for over 10 years. It was a good home to us!!

This was a beast to get out of the house.

Good thing we have some good friends to help out with the really heavy stuff. That and I have a hunk who can handle things like this without hurting himself.

So weird seeing our family room like this!

The last trailer full of stuff. Some of our big things had to go into some friends trucks.

Oscar was the last thing to move. He was coming with us to my parent's house. He had been looking kind of sick for a little while so we were hoping that the move wouldn't make him worse.

Oscar even posed for the picture. He is looking at the camera with the boys if you can't tell.
That was it! Once Oscar was packed up in the car we were off to my parents house to move in with them. We had to go back the next day and get the last minute cleaning done and then we were officially out of the house! Such a weird feeling! Yet we are very excited for the next adventure and chapter with our cute little family!

Of course as soon as we move in with my parents Kayden gets sick!! Now I was trying to keep him from getting my parents sick and the rest of us! So fun!! haha

Some more finishing touches going up in our house. The carpenter did such a great job with our mantel and range hood!! We are so excited with how it is turning out.

Emmett also got braces!

His teeth needed it pretty badly! He had so much crowding on his lowers. It will be fun to see how his smile changes after he is done with these braces.

We also saved a bunny from one of our window wells. We ended up taking it to my parents to show the kids. They obviously wanted to keep it. Which we told them know. Then we took it back to our house and let it go free.

Since the carpet was not in yet we decided it was a good time to go to the house and work on the boys accent walls in their rooms.

Almost there. We have a Cheetah decal to put on his wall still! He was really happy with the color of the orange that is for sure. We let him pick it out. With a little bit of guidance from us.

Found this on Amazon. It turned out pretty cool! Ethan is happy with it!

My parents have a park by their house that has a little pump track. We brought our bikes to their house when we moved in so that we could go for bike rides. The boys had a lot of fun going on this pump track.

Gigi is really good at spoiling my boys with candy. We went to schools and she said she needed to stock up on candy for the boys. Well she sure did stock up!! haha Candy was in heaven!

Having fun in preschool!

We let Kayden's friend Theo come over for a playdate after preschool one afternoon. Ended up taking them to the park by my parents house and they had a lot of fun climbing up the massive rock structures that they made there. Kings of the playground! haha

Might be hard to see but this was a little nest and a tiny egg that was found on my parent's grass. Must have fallen out of the tree. The boys thought it was the cutest thing. In fact I think I remember one of them saying that they wanted to keep it and see if it would hatch. haha

Then sadly, it was time to say goodbye to Oscar. He was looking really bad for days after moving to my parents house. He was just floating at the top of the tank on his side and didn't really eat or do much. So we figured it was time to take him to the pond.

Kayden didn't want to go with us to take Oscar. I think he was having a hard time saying goodbye to Oscar. He was pretty sad and ended up sitting on Gigi's lap basically the whole time we were gone letting Oscar go. It was pretty sad for all of the boys. He had been in our family for I think 4 years. We got him when he was the size of a quarter and he was now probably 9 inches long. The boys had liked watching him swim around. The craziest thing about when we let Oscar go in the pond is that as he swam into the pond for a few seconds he lifted his head out of the water in our direction. It had to have been for 3 seconds where he just faced us with his head out of the water and then he dove back in and swam away. It was like he was saying bye to us. It was really cool to watch. We were all watching him in the water and saying Bye to him and then he popped his head out of the water. He had been a good fish! The boys were pretty sad but hoping that he would have a good time in the pond before he either died or just kept on living. Most likely he died. He was very sick! We let the boys think whatever they wanted to. Then we went back to console Kayden and then to move on! What a big month. Packing up our things, moving in with Papa and Gigi, having to say goodbye to our pet fish!! It was quite a lot for kids to take in emotionally. You could tell that the boys were dealing with their emotions differently. Some acting out more, some getting more emotional about things, some being more clingy. Big changes over here!! It will get better as we get settled in our new home! Eventually!

After, cleaning out the tank the boys would walk by it and say how they missed Oscar. We would remind them how he was really sick so he was probably in Heaven so much happier. At least one of the boys would say, "Or he is so happy to be in the pond with lots of space to swim and fish to eat." haha

So it's official we are out of our Banner house and for the time being, we are crowding my parents house and looking at an empty fish tank. Thank goodness my parents have space for us. It would have been really hard if we had to move into an apartment or long term hotel stay. At least we got to spend time with my parents which my boys love as well. So it was going to be good! Change is always hard though! So here's to change and the next adventure!!
