The big MOVE!

Memorial Day weekend we were officially moving in to our NEW and hopefully LAST house!! We were very excited. We had Tyrel and his family coming as well as Coya and her family coming to help us move. So we decided to stay the night on Thursday night in our house all by ourselves before everyone came in. So we had a little slumber party in our house. The kids ran around like wild animals for a while and then they went to sleep and we had offically had our first night in our new house. Then it was move day. We were getting the truck to unload the storage unit we had all of our stuff in and we had couches, beds and a rug coming that day as well. We also had people coming and going finishing up a few things. When everyone was at our house it was super chaotic. We had people going everywhere and all over the place all the time. I felt like the mom from Home Alone when they are running late and people are just everywhere going crazy. I was trying to tell people where to put boxes and watching out for kids. We didn't have a yard yet. It was just dirt. So the kids had a blast playing on the dirt hill and then running inside. At one point Beckham came inside the back door. Sat down and dumped his shoes full of dirt out onto the floor. I was all, "Dude, the door is right there. Dump your shoes out outside!" So needless to say there was dirt all over the floors and just people everywhere. It was nice to have the help with unloading the truck and getting heavy stuff in the house. It was just a lot of chaos with 18 people in our house. Plus they were staying the weekend. So we were also housing them and feeding all of them. It was pretty nutty! But.... we are officially in our house and when everyone left and we were just our family in our house it was pretty surreal!! Ashley and her kiddos were still in town so after the other families left we went and had some fun at my parents house with them and went to Fort Fun as well!! Crazy times for sure!! Enjoy the pictures!

May craziness

We had a busy May. There were lots of things going on for the end of the school year. We had a choir concert for Wyatt where is was an 80's theme so he decided he needed a mustache. We also had Kaydens birthday, another music concert for Kayden as well as for Ethan. Brandon and I went to a Nate Bargatze show. Wyatt had his last field day as well as a presentation that he worked really hard on about popcorn and how it relates to science. haha Graduations for both Ethan, Wyatt and Kayden. We found a Turtle... kept it and named it Shelly. Mothers Day happened. Ashley came to visit with Harvey and Caleb and we were trying to stay on top of things with the building of our home and make it more exciting for the boys. So we decorated their rooms with an accent wall. All while staying at my Mom and Dad's house. It was a busy but good month. Also, I hurt my knee while we were living there. I hit the corner of my parents table on my knee and it must have hit my nerve because it sent paint up to my hip and down my leg. Like a burning pain that wouldn't go away. In fact I could barely put weight on it for months. It was nuts!! haha So fun!! Well enjoy the pictures.

Wyatt had been very excited about this Track meet. He was so proud of himself that he made it since there was a try out for it. Then of course on race day he ended up getting a side ache half way through and it ruined his run. He fought through it but he was super bummed. Wyatt is an emotional kid and I could tell he was trying not to cry. He was tearing up a bit and I felt so bad for him. Side aches are the worst especially if you are in a race and it ruins it for you. He was tough and pushed thought though and finished his race and we were proud of him for pushing through.

The boys are always excited to help Dad make breakfast on Mothers day.

Look at all those yummy strawberries they made for me and Gigi.

Sure do love these boys. I am so glad I get to be there Mom. Even if it is challenging at times I wouldn't change it for the world.

Wyatt also had his first over nighter away from home and family. I was not super thrilled about him going. He is a good kid but some of his friends I worry about. I just don't want him to get exposed to things he doesnt need to that can have an affect on his life. Thankfully, he had a great time and nothing bad came from it. It was also weird having him away from home over night. Especially since I knew hew as not just at my parents house or with other family members.

Wyatt and Emmett wanted to do the bike to school day. Kind of harder to do when we were living at Papa and Gigi's house. I knew I wouldn't be able to because I had to get Kayden to preschool so Papa told them that he would ride to school with them. They were so thrilled. Especially since this was Wyatt's last bike to school day at Bethke.

Kayden had a bike at school parade at preschool. He was very excited to do it. However, we had moved his training wheels up higher to get him to practice relying on 2 wheels instead of 4 and he was not a huge fan of that. He did pretty good though.

Birthday time!! He is just getting too big too fast. Already 5 years old. So weird to think of him being in all day school next year. We did the usual things for Birthdays. We headed out to get birthday donuts and then he had school and after that we let his friend Theo Hanson come play for a little Birthday fun. Then it was dinner at Panda Express and to end the night he had a concert for preschool that he got to sing in.

He actually sang this time. No bribing necessary. It was so cute to watch him up there singing and doing the actions. He was very in to it this time. Unlike the Christmas concert that they had where we had to bribe him. haha He is just growing up!!!

He wanted a car cake. So I decided this was how I was going to do it. It turned out great and he Loved it so that is all that matters.

Ok... so yes Brandon is in a dumpster. haha It is the dumpster that was in front of our house. We were checking out the progress and looked int he dumpster for something and we found lots of things that they just threw away that were not necessary to throw away. So we figured it was ours anyways... why not take some of the stuff and keep it since the workers didn't want it.

Then since we were staying at my parents house for a couple of months we decided to help out my Mom. So Brandon put in cabinets for her in the laundry room. She has always wanted cabinets instead of the metal shelving that she had so we decided it was the best time to do it.

This cute little tiny turtle that we named Shelly was found by Ethan. He was riding his scooter around to the back of Papa and Gigi's house to get a ball that they had thrown over. When he jumped off his scooter thinking that there was a frog or big spider or a rock that he was about to run over. So he jumped off and then looked at what it was. He ran back to the house and asked if he could use my phone to take a picture of the turtle he found. I thought he must be mistaken and that it was probably a frog. He said, "No its a turtle" So I let him take my phone. When he came back with the picture of the turtle I couldn't believe it. Then Brandon told him to go get it and bring it back. So he did. When he came back with it we couldn't believe how little it was. Emmett had just hurt his toe by stubbing it really bad on the cement and was sitting in the chair all sad until he got to hold the tiny turtle. So we decided to keep it. We had just let Oscar go at the pond and had a open tank. So Brandon did some research and we got the tank cleaned out and a filter specifically for a turtle tank and a heating lamp and we now had a turtle. We let Ethan name him. At first he wanted to name him sheldon. Then after toying with other names we settled on shelly. He is so cute and little!! The boys were pretty excited to have this cute little turtle after having to let Oscar go.

This bird was stuck in Papa and Gigi's window well. It was the baby bird from the nest that was in my parents tree. So Gigi went down and got it out. The mama bird was going crazy watching Gigi holding her baby. So Gigi went and put the bird bad in the nest in their tree.

Service on the Temple grounds.

Ethan got an award of excellence from school. They picked about 20 students or something that show the characteristics of a Cub that represents their school. Ethan was nominated by his teachers. Super awesome. In fact I got a call from the principle one afternoon telling me how he is such a great kid and that he was getting this award. Wanted to make sure we were going to be there at the graduation for him to receive the award. It was pretty awesome! So proud of Ethan and the great young man he is becoming!

Last day of 5th grade in Elementary so Wyatt had to wear something nice for graduation. So he decided on his church suit. He looked like a stud!

Last day of 8th Grade and Middle School. Off to high school now.

This picture gets me everytime. As soon as Wyatts graduation was over and we found him he was crying. He was so sad saying how he was going to miss Bethke so much. It was hard seeing him so sad plus knowing that he was moving on to Middle School was hard for me too. He is growing up too fast and although it is fun, I also dont like it and want time to slow down some.

Good Bye Bethke! Hello Timnath Middle High
