Brandon took off for the "Ryder Cup" on a Thursday night. So I was left to handle the boys by myself until Saturday afternoon when Brandon's parents were going to be here. So Friday morning I headed out to go for a run with the boys. It started raining right before we left so I waited until it stopped and then we headed out. It started drizzling on us twice and full on rained on us as we were making in onto our street.
The boys enjoyed it though. I mean who wouldn't enjoy being pushed around outside while eating yummy snacks. haha
Wyatt looked at this card and says, "Mom, you don't want to eat this cheese! Yuck!!" haha I then had to tell him that it was not cheese that the guys was holding in the picture! haha
I had a dance party with Wyatt and Emmett Friday afternoon and it turned into Wyatt having Emmett push him off the ottoman and onto the couch which would make Emmett laugh hysterically! It was really funny to watch!
I love how much fun they have together.
That night I took the boys out for dinner. I didn't want to cook and I had not had Cafe Rio in quite a while so I decided it would be yummy and cheap to take the boys there. Well... I should have taken them to Chick-Fil-A or McDonald's. It would have been less stressfull. haha The boys were running around Cafe Rio like animals and it was more stressful than enjoyable. haha
This was Emmett's reaction when I told him no more diet coke! haha A boy after my own heart! ;-) haha
Wyatt got a card in the mail from Grandpa and Grandma Murri the Great. It had a 1 dollar bill inside and Wyatt was stoked that he got a dollar!! So when we went to target I let him pick out something that was a dollar. He picked out silly string and was super excited about it! :-)
Saturday morning was the start of Conference. So we cuddled up and watched some conference together. Ethan and Wyatt lasted for maybe a talk and then were off to play. I tried to watch it in the middle of all the craziness and putting Emmett down for naps and cleaning in order to get ready for Brandon's parents to arrive. So it was a crazy and busy day.
Emmett's eyes look funny in this picture but I had to include it because Emmett has this thing with pulling the tupperware out of the cabinet and then pushing them around the kitchen. He went through a little phase where he would do it a lot. It was pretty funny.
Ethan and Wyatt wanted me to take pictures of them with a cracker sticking out of their mouths. haha Weirdos... haha At least they like it when I take pictures of them! :-)
After the morning session we took a break from being inside and headed to the backyard to have some fun with our bubble machine!
After Ethan and Wyatt getting in trouble for trying to eat the bubbles over and over again they finally stopped and just had fun playing in the backyard and popping them and being crazy. Emmett loved the bubbles and just loved being outside. The weather was perfect so we enjoyed the time in between the sessions.
Ethan then caught another praying mantis.
Wyatt was just as excited about this one as he was the last one.
Brandon's parents arrived around 4 and the boys were stoked!! They wouldn't leave them alone. haha It is always so funny to see how excited they are when family comes to visit.
Then they gave Wyatt the Birthday present they had gotten for him.
A fishing pole!! He was so excited about it. Too bad it didn't work really well so we had to take it back. He had fun with it while we had it though. haha
He also got some starwars cars and a Jonah puzzle from Grandma Huntsman.
Later that evening we had some pizza for dinner and got ready for Brandon to get home. We were all excited for him to come home. We blew up 34 balloons because it was his birthday and he was now 34 years old. After blowing them up we wrote on them things that we love about him. Then I attempted to make a net out of streamers to have the balloons on the ceiling and then have them rain down on Brandon when he came through the door. However, it was not successful and the balloons kept falling through the net I was attempting. So I gave up and pulled the streamers down and let them hang on the door and just had all the balloons in the doorway so he would see them when he got home.
We were all so excited for him to be home. Then it was bed time for the boys and the Brandon showed us the pictures that he took on his little trip to the "Ryder Cup"
Sunday morning was another great morning of conference. I made monkey bread and an omlet and we enjoyed listening to the conference talks.
In between the sessions we went for a nice walk in the beautiful weather.
That night after dinner we finally got to sing Happy Birthday to Brandon and have some lemon cake!
It was delicious and a great end to the day.
Then Grandma got to read Emmett a bed time story and cuddle with Wyatt.
Monday morning Brandon headed to work and Grandma and Grandpa had to leave.
We snapped a quick picture before taking Ethan to the bus.
We all walked Ethan to the bus stop and then Brandon's parents finished packing up and headed out.
It was fun having them stop by on their way to their mission. The kids LOVED spending time with Grandma and Grandpa Murri. So even though it was a quick trip and the weekend went by fast it was still fun!
