Fun Visit with Grandpa and GG and Uncle David and Hayley

Saturday April 28th my parents and brother David and his wife Hayley were heading our way from Utah. We had a busy morning that morning and got all ready for them to arrive. By the time we had eaten dinner they were getting close to arriving at our house. The boys were so excited they could hardly wait.
They sat out on the porch for probably 20 minutes waiting for Grandpa and GG to get here.

They ARRIVED!!!!

Our boys were seriously so excited to have them come. Emmett kept asking all day long when his GG was going to get here. So when they finally got here they were showing off their skills and showing them everything for quite some time. They did not want to go to bed that night that is for sure.

They were staying until the following Thursday and then David and Hayley were heading down to Denver and my parents were going to head back to Utah to go see Weston's Hayley graduate. We were just glad that they were able to stay for as long as they did. It would have been nice to have them stay longer since Brandon was leaving Wednesday for his golfing trip but that is ok. While they were here we played lots of games had lots of laughs and enjoyed hanging out together. Brandon had to work while they were here but he got to enjoy them in the evenings. It was lots of fun!

Enjoying some malts Sunday night before bed.

After David got back from exercising he was stretching and the boys decided to join him! :-)

Park time!
We took them to the Twin Silos park one morning. Sadly Brandon and I had to take our car back in after 3 weeks of it being in the shop for A/C, transmission and brake problems. We had to take it in again because the A/C on the passenger side of the car was not working. So we took it in Monday morning and then headed out to take the kids to the park. Once we got to the park it was time to pick up the car so Brandon and I jumped in his car and drove down to go pick up our GMC and then met back up with my family at the park to play some more. Brandon then had to go back to work but at least he got to help take the car back in and pick it up with me.

The kids had a blast at the park. It sure is a fun park. Oh ya, we also let Ethan ditch school that Monday so he could have fun playing with Grandpa and GG and his Aunt and Uncle for one day. Plus it was supposed to be the nicest day out of the week so it worked out perfectly!

That evening we headed over to Harmony club to teach Grandpa, GG and David and Hayley some pickle ball.

It started raining while we were out there and lighting and thunder started getting closer so we decided it was time to leave after probably 20 minutes of being out there playing. Emmett would hear the thunder and then make this face and then say, "Hear that?" and then he would make the sound of the thunder. haha It was pretty funny!

Look at that cute face!!!

After some pickle ball we went to Kilwins to grab some delicious ice cream with everyone.

It was quite delicious and the kids had fun playing in this little area of Old Town while we finished up our ice cream.

Such a cute picture!!

Ethan reading to Uncle David. He had to practice because he was going to be reading in front of his class that week.

Wednesday afternoon Brandon left on an airplane to go to Hilton Head for a golf trip with Travis and a couple other guys. So that night my parents treated the rest of us to Freddy's for dinner and dessert.

While we were there Emmett kept wanting up to say, "Chew and Swallow" because we had done that the night before during dinner trying to get Wyatt to eat his salad. He thought it was the best thing ever so he wanted us to do it for him that night. It was pretty funny! Oh and by the way while we were eating dinner the night before we were trying to get Wyatt to eat his salad. He didn't even want to try it and so someone mentioned making Hayley eat something she didn't like such as an Oreo (which was totally a joke). Wyatt thought it was a great idea. We made it sound like it was a terrible thing for him to make Hayley do. Hayley playfully agreed to take the challenge and made disgusted faces every time she had to take a bite. She would tell Wyatt he had to take a bite of his salad and then she would take a bite of the horrible oreo. haha Wyatt totally bought into it and thought he was getting the better end of the deal at least it seemed that way. haha It was so funny! He ended up eating all his salad and said that he liked it! haha

That evening after burgers the boys went into the bathroom and came out like this. haha They had done their hair and came into the room and then posed for us because they were obviously super cool dudes now! haha I seriously can't get enough of this picture!!

Sadly, the fun had to come to and end and Thursday afternoon right after lunch time my parents and brother and his wife took off and left me alone with my three boys for the weekend. It was a fun visit and we had so many laughs. So even though it was short it was totally worth it.
