Great Wolf Lodge

September 21st we headed down to Colorado Springs to spend Thursday and Friday at Great Wolf Lodge. I picked up Wyatt at 11:30 as usual and then grabbed Ethan as well. Ethan was super sad because later that day he was supposed to have a read aloud cuddle time in class and he was super excited for it. So when we pulled him out early he started crying a little. He wasnt even super excited when we told them where we were going. He did eventually cheer up when we got to our destination. Then he said it was better than doing his read aloud at school. We were glad he was finally happy about it. They gave us wolf ears and the boys were so excited about that too.

We got a suite this time that had bunk beds and another twin bed as well as our bed. Our bed was in its own separated bedroom.

Emmett was terrified of the wave pool at first. Which I believe was because of his experience at the beach in California when he and Brandon were taken down by a wave. So at first he was super scared of the wave pool and didn't want to go in farther than his ankles. haha After a while of trying to get him to conquer his fear he was less scared and had more fun with it. Still didn't really want to go very far unless he was being held but at least he wasn't crying when we went in by the time we left. haha

The most ginormous ice cream Sunday ever!! haha We barely ate any of it. The kids didn't care to eat it they just wanted to play. Brandon and I ate some of it but man we are lightweights. haha We didn't even eat down to the cup. It was pretty funny! Oh well.. It was fun and the kids thought it was awesome except for not really wanting to eat it. haha

Wyatt was super excited to do some rock climbing.

I love Emmetts nervous face. He gets so shy and when the guy was putting on his harness he was super nervous.

Look at that cutie pie!

They had a lot of fun. Emmett got higher than I anticipated him going. Wyatt was not going to give up.

After climbing that rock wall a ton of times Wyatt was getting pretty tired! haha

Ethan loved the ropes course. He wanted to keep doing it over and over again. He like the ropes course way better than the rock wall.

Wyatt almost didn't get to do the ropes course. The first night he tried it the person working it said he was too little. One of the guys that worked there told us to try again the next day when someone else was working the station. So we tried the next day and they let him off no questions asked. He was so happy to get to go on the ropes course. He had been super bummed the night before because he wasn't able to. So we were happy someone new was running it.

So much fun bowling!

We all had a blast. The boys had so much fun and we got an adventure pass this time which gave us unlimited bowling, rock climbing, ropes course and mini golf. It was a lot of fun and Wyatt had a blast climbing the rock wall. He was very persistent and wouldn't give up till he made it to the top. Then he would do it all over again. Emmett even tried it once. Ethan liked the ropes course better then the rock wall. Ethan also got brave and tried out the wolf tail slide which is a drop off in the very beginning. After going on it one time he wanted to keep going on it. Wyatt had fun going on the slides that he was big enough to. Next time we will have to go when Emmett is tall enough to go on the bigger slides too. By the time we left the kids were all tired and ready to sleep in the car on the way home. We had a ton of fun as a family and were able to spend some time with the Willey's. It was a great weekend.
