6 Months already?

I can't believe my baby is 6 months old already!! That is half a YEAR!!! What?? I love all of these different stages with him but I really would love for time to slow down a bit. It seems as though time is just flying by too fast. I feel like I can't enjoy him enough even though I am still cuddling with him whenever he will let me and having fun making him laugh and all that jazz. It just seems like he is going to get too big too fast and I won't know where the time has gone. Anyways.... he is such a sweet little boy and we are sure enjoying him. I am truly enjoying this little guy. Which is what I was hoping for. I didn't want to WANT to wish it away. Thankfully, I am not wishing time to go faster, just wishing it to slow down. So to celebrate Kayden hitting the 6 month mark we fed him his first taste of peas. haha YAY for him!! haha He actually did really well with them. I was surprised. Our other boys didn't like peas at all!!

What a sweet little face!! He is looking so big now!!

I love the shiver face.haha

These were some of the good faces I got of him while he ate his peas. He did pretty good in the beginning and then when he was getting tired of it he started to make more gag faces and would shiver. haha It was quite funny to watch. I always love watching their reactions to trying new foods.

Sadly, I never took a nice 6 month old picture with my big camera. I just squeezed in this picture on my phone. He sure is a cutie pie though. He has the cutest giggle and grunts a lot. haha He loves toys that make crinkle noises and his sun rattle. He also loves to sit in his froggy chair with us while we eat dinner and will watch us as we eat. I think he is getting ready to start eating more foods. haha We sure are loving this little guy in our family. His 6 month check was a couple weeks after he hit 6 months.

He weighed in at
16lbs 11ounces

He is getting pretty heavy and we are happy he is getting chubbier. He sleeps really good at night. I wake him up to dream feed him still at about 10:30 or 11 and then he sleep until 6-7:30. It is nice to not have to get up in the middle of the night. I sleep really good in that time frame.
We also had to go in for another ultrasound for Kayden's left kidney. He has had an issue of his being more dilated since he was in my tummy. So we went in to Hospital and got another ultrasound. At his doctors visit the doctor told me that the radiologist said that the Kidney was basically getting worse. It was a little bit more dilated than the past ultrasound and some of the good tissue surrounding it was starting to thin. So that was not good news. So Dr. Hanson said he was going to put in a referral to a pediatric urologist to have him see Kayden and let us know what the next move would be. So I went home ready to wait for a couple of days to hear from this specialists office. I ended up hearing from them and they said that the doctor just wanted us to go ahead and get the VCUG done since his Kidney issue had gotten so much worse in such a short period of time. So we got that all set up and planned for December 5th. I was not very excited about having to go and thankfully Brandon planned on cleaning his schedule so he could come with me. I didn't want to go at it alone and deal with Kayden screaming. We had heard that it was not going to be a fun experience and I was nervous and ready to be crying because my baby was getting hurt. So we planned to go to the children's hospital in Denver the beginning of December. I cried a little bit once we had it all planned. I was so nervous for our sweet little Kayden!! Poor little guy was going to have a catheter and he is so tiny!! Not fun!! So other than his messed up Kidney he is a happy healthy baby boy and brings so much joy into our family!!

Urban Air toddler time

Then our friend Rebecca Hanson told us that Urban Air had toddler time on Friday's. She was planning on going and since her little Max thinks Emmett is the coolest she figured she would let us know that they were going. Emmett was super excited to go and see "little Max" as they call him. It was really fun. They have play time for ages 5 and under every Friday from 10-1. I just had to pay 8 bucks for Emmett and that was it. Emmett was so excited to play!

Plus Daddy was able to come which made Emmett even happier. There is this really cool ninja warrior area that is filled with a ball pit and it is actually really deep. It was funny watching little kids disappear in the pit and then see hands shoot out needing help. haha

Like this picture! haha

So happy!!

He and Max had fun and Emmett didn't want to leave when it was finally time to head out. We will have to go back again when life settles down just a little bit.

November 4th - 14th

We had some good times in November. After putting up the Christmas tree it was nice enjoying the mornings with the tree lights on and relaxing for a little bit before getting on with our day.

Emmett got to feed Kayden again. He kept asking to feed him so I decided to let him. Which worked out nicely because I had to get something done really quick and it was nice to have him feed him while I finished up what I was doing in the kitchen.

We also went to the park one afternoon. It was really cold with the wind so we didn't last very long at all. Poor Kayden kept gasping because of the breeze and his little face was so cold. He looked so cute in his beanie. Look at that chubby little face!

Kayden also got to enjoy some tummy time with his little Tigger toy.

He is seriously so cute!! He was so determined to grab hold of his Tigger toy. It was fun to watch him.

He also started to like his little jumper toy too.

He LOVES his oatmeal. He gets so excited when I feed him oatmeal. It is so cute!!

I think he is our only kid that has every been able to eat his toes. That and the only one that has been super fascinated with his toes. haha He loves grabbing his toes when he is on his back.

This little frog chair is the best. Kayden LOVES it!! It sure makes cooking in the kitchen nice because I can put him in the chair while I get things cooked and he just sits there and watches me and played with the toys attached to it.

The boys had a day off in November and of course it was the coldest day. It was snowing and cold so the kids had to stay inside. Luckily they had a blast making paper oragami creations that they watched on youtube.

They spent hours making these paper swords and pocket knifes. haha I was just glad that they were being so nice to each other and that it kept them occupied for a while.

The best part of the evenings. After the other kids go to bed and Kayden wakes up again to drink a bottle. It is really the only time that Kayden will cuddle. I usually take advantage of that time because he is so cute and I know it won't last forever. This time Brandon had him and he just looked so cute laying on Brandon's shoulder!!

Bath time!!!! He sure loves his baths now!! Look at that face! :)

Emmett wanted to take a bath with him so badly! haha So I let him. Then he complained because Kaydens chair took up too much space! haha

Look at that cute smile! He is such a happy boy!!! 😍

And look at that drool... haha

Silly little boy!

My Mom gave us this book to help Ethan want to read since it was about 3 brothers whose Dad is a dentist and the little boy has to get a crown on his tooth. Which is like Ethan. haha It was actually a really cute book and the boys enjoyed it.

Plus, they were excited because they had to finish this book in order to get the Nintendo switch. It was supposed to be a Christmas present but the boys found it so we had to make them earn it. So now they earned it and they were super excited to finally be able to play on it.

Lastly, this is a picture of my happy place. Sitting in the dark with just the glow of the Christmas tree while snuggling my sweet baby boy!! Nothing better than this!!!
