After our fun trip to St. George it was back to life as we know it. Brandon had to head back to work and me and the boys tried to have some fun at home. We still made the most of our August at home and had some fun times. We also started working on my parents closet and tried to go swimming a couple of times and play pickle ball when we could. So here is some of the fun from August.
We had to check out my parents house and see how bad their weeds were. haha
We had some massive zucchinis when we got home from St. George!!
Ethan wanted to make dessert Sunday evening when we were home. He had wanted to put chocolate on bananas and freeze them. So we chopped them up and put some shell chocolate on them and stuck them in the freezer. Ethan helped with it and he was so proud of how they turned out. haha

Kayden would tuck his head behind the couch and I would look back and say, "I see you!" or "Hi" and he would give me a huge smile and then move and do it again. haha It was pretty cute!!
Kayden's first powdered donut! It was a hit and he wanted another one.
We also went to MOD pizza for the first time since the pandemic hit. It was pretty fun to go eat there. Thankfully it is summer so we can enjoy eating outside.
Right after getting dinner we headed over to get popsicles from the Primary presidency. They were doing a back to school popsicle drive thru for all of the kids. It was cute and the kids were super excited to get popsicles. haha

The blood red sun from the smoke in the air because of the Cameron Peak fire that started and was getting pretty big. Caused lots of smoke in the air.

Then I had to take Kayden in for another ultrasound on his Kidney. I was really hoping that he wouldn't fall asleep until after his ultrasound. That didn't happen. He fell asleep on our way to the hospital! Not super great!!
He handled the ultrasound really well even though he was tired. He just didn't care for the band on his arm. haha And we found out that his kidney isn't shrinking at all. So when I met with the Specialist he said we need to go ahead and schedule surgery to have it taken out. Such a bummer!!

The boys had fun helping us work on their closet and pantry! They were able to help with the start of things. By the time we got to the painting part they really couldn't help anymore. So they would play in the basement while me and Brandon worked!

Then we headed home and grabbed our bikes and made our way to Wendy's for dinner.
The kids had a lot of fun riding bikes to Wendy's.
We were not sure if we were going to eat inside or just eat outside on the patio. However, there was no one other than us in Wendy's so we decided to just eat inside.
The kids enjoyed it and ate pretty well.
Then we grabbed some frosty's and headed back home.
On our way back home the kids saw the sun and that it was red. I had to keep telling them not to stare at the red sun. With all the smoke in the air the sun was red and the boys kept talking about the blood moon on Zelda. haha Silly kids. Thankfully it didn't smell badly of smoke even though the air looked smoky! It was a busy day but it was fun and we sure had fun riding bikes to get dinner! We will be doing that a lot more as life gets back to a more normal.
