Halloween

Halloween night was fun. The kids got in their costumes and layered up because it was going to be a cold evening. After some dinner we took off to go trick or treating. This year was a fun one with Kayden. He was so cute once he got the idea of trick or treating and realizing that he would get candy every time he went up to a house. It was cold but it was super cute watching the boys enjoy the evening. This was the first year that Brandon let the boys go off on their own for a little bit. I went with my Mom and Kayden and Brandon branched off with the older 3. Then he let the older three go off on their own. He told them they had to stick together and they could only go a certain distance. I was not sure how I felt about the boys going off on their own but I am also not sure how I feel about them growing up so fast!! haha

Kayden looked so cute in this Captain America Costume!!

The kids got so much candy!! haha The boys also got a random chicken nugget. haha
It was a fun evening. Then after getting all the candy they could imagine we watched Hocus Pocus with the boys. Ethan was not so sure about it but he stuck around and enjoyed it. All in all it was a good night!

October Fun

After Brandon's birthday we got to enjoy conference weekend.

Brandon had to make the Monkey Bread this time. I was unable to do much of anything with my rib/back issue.

He successfully made it and it tasted so yummy. Kayden was a fan!

I bought some muffins from costco and Kayden decided that it was best to just take bites out of the top. haha I do agree, that is the best part. haha Then he tried cutting them himself.

A little bit of fun at scheels.

The games finally opened up at scheels again. So we took the kids and let them play for a little bit.

Kayden loves Mickey so much. Before his naps for a little while Kayden would make sure that Mickey was tucked in tight on the couch before he could go to bed too.

Wyatt being his silly self as we went to a family book fair night at the school.

Top Golf!
It is always fun going to Top Golf. The kids love it. I was not able to play again but I enjoy the food and company.

Plus we drove to IN N OUT afterwards! Which is always a win in my book!

After grabbing some lunch we headed to American Furniture Warehouse to see if we could find any art for Brandon's new office building.
Obviously it was a success! haha
Brandon bought a ton of them. Then as we got them back to the car we were not sure that all of them would fit. Brandon worked some magic and made it work. Although Ethan had to lay down in the back next to some of the art. Wyatt was squished and Kayden and Emmetts legs were against some art too. I still can't believe it all ended up fitting. haha Ethan almost fell asleep in the back laying down on the way home. haha

Look what I found in the golf cabinet.

Kayden loves dogs! He would probably be the one in our family to try and convince us that we needed a  dog. haha He loves it when they lick him and he just wants to hug them all the time. This husky is one of our neighbors that lives near the bus stop. Every morning they come out to take their kids to the bus and bring their dog and Kayden just loves it.

Fall is in the air!! Such pretty colors!

Emmett had his first school field trip. He went to the farm and was so excited to show me all the vegetables that he got to pick. I was sad that I couldn't go with him but, my back was not in a position to handle that and I would have had to take Kayden. Which would not have worked out well at all. So he went and just had to tell me all about it when he got home.

Fun at the park. Emmett learned how to do the monkey bars and was super excited to show me.

Brandon had to go on a trip for work. Some meeting for work and so I was left on my own with the kiddos. My parents were in California so I was a little worried how I was going to handle the kids on my own with my back hurting so bad still. Thankfully, the boys have really been stepping up and helping around the house more. Wyatt has been doing dishes and they have been helping with changing Kayden's diapers.
So we kept it simple and made breakfast for dinner one night. Which the boys helped me make.

The the last night Brandon was gone we picked up Chick Fil A and had a dinner and movie night.

Then I let them have some ice cream which Kayden ended up making a big mess out of. haha
I think the hardest thing about Brandon being gone was Kayden still liked to be wrapped up and carried to bed. That and he is still in a crib. So doing that was really hard for me and would hurt me. So I ended up having to have Ethan help carry him up to his bed and put him in his crib for me. I really had to rely on the boys help while Brandon was gone. They all really want my back to be better so they were pretty willing to help out. I have some good boys!

Then Brandon arrived home and we were all happy to see him. Our friends the Palmers dropped off some Halloween cookies for decorating so we did that together which was fun.

Kayden tried and just made a mess. Then he just wanted to eat the cookies.

Brandon did the bat and the hat. He is pretty talented when it comes to artsy stuff!

I had to take Kayden in to get his flu sot. After they let him pick out a toy and he got this plastic jeep. He was so excited! It was the best toy they could have had for him.

Then it was time to carve pumpkins!
Papa and Gigi got back in town just in time to join in the pumpkin fun with us.

I just watched this year which is fine. I enjoy watching the kids carve their pumpkins. Or not carve them because they dont want to touch the pumpkin guts. haha Kayden did not want to touch the insides at all. Although he kept smelling the inside of the pumpkins and saying "mmm" such a weirdo! haha

We decided to be ninja turtles this year. The kids got to dress up at school again this year. So I spent the morning painting faces and getting their hair sprayed before they took off to school.

Then it was parade time. So Brandon and I took Kayden and met my parents at the school to watch the kids walk around the school in their costumes for the schools halloween parade.

Emmett did not want his face painted that morning. Thankfully we had an old mask from the last time we did ninja turtles.

That night we had our ward Halloween party. So we all had to get dressed up!

So we had the 4 ninja turtles, shredder and yes I was April Oneil.
It turned out cute! I am glad I was able to help paint their faces.

The boys all had fun eating donuts and doing the trunk or treat. Kayden ate a whole donut by himself and you could tell. He was on a total sugar high. haha He would just randomly start walking in circles and then if he was standing by you all of a sudden he would just take off running. haha It was quite funny! I couldn't tell if he was being so silly because he was not wearing his glasses so things were a little fuzzy or if it was from all the sugar. Im sure it was the sugar but we may never know! haha

We won the super hero costume award! :-)

Look at that cute Raphael!

Then we took the kids to a scooter park that is in Windsor.

The kids love the scooter park. It is a little less intense than the bike park we had gone to the last time. So now they want to go to the scooter park anytime there is a chance to go. Ethan constantly asks when we can go back.
We also took my parents to our last CSU game for the season. It was fun going with them. It was a little colder than I liked because shivering hurts me. So my mom gave me her coat to wear on top of my coat and we had the heaters going full blast the whole time. Then we went to some ice cream before heading home.
