Spring Break and Easter Fun

After getting back from our trip it was back to reality. The boys finished up their basketball season with games the day after we got back. Then we had a couple of weeks before spiring break when we were going to head to Idaho to get away and let our house be shown as much as possible while we were gone.

Wyatt had a fun season.
Emmett enjoyed his as well.

Then of course our water heater was leaking. I don't remember if we had someone come out and look at it or if Brandon just tightened up a screw and all was well. It was not a very old water heater so I was pretty frustrated that it was leaking at the top.

We had brought home some Mexican candies and snacks for the kids to try. Brandon was trying to get Kayden to try a chili covered gummy candy. He was not wanting to try it. haha

Emmett has some really good handwriting. I also thought this was a cute opinion paper he wrote. Oscar has been a family favorite for a while.

Lunch date with my little Kadyen! I sure do enjoy going out to lunch with this kid. It's fun to just get to talk with him with no other distractions.

Then before we knew it we were off to Idaho Falls. We had a blast while we were there. We ate Reeds Diary ice cream a few times. Went sledding a few times and played lots of games together. It was a fun get away. While we were there we had lots of showings happen. We got notifications whenever a showing was scheduled. We were really hopeful that something would come from all these showings and then we could be done with showing it and just relax till we had to move out. Or at least start packing up slowing away without worrying about making messes. haha

The boys had so much fun sledding. Kayden was a little nervous but we got him to go down a few times. The snow was like ice though. Which made the sleds go even faster. So the older boys loved it!

A little down time playing Tetris and other games.

Of course we went out and played some pickleball.

Then since they have soda shops we had to get that a few times as well.
We ended up going sledding one other time but it was a lot colder then second day and we did not last very long before the boys wanted to head back and have some hot chocolate.

We were not gone the whole spring break. We left Friday and got home half way through so Brandon could work the other days of the week. So I took the boys to the Windsor rec center to swim. The older boys had a blast going on the slide. Kayden was not brave enough so we spent most of the time in the lazy river.

Then I took Wyatt out for a one on one. We have been slacking at doing these lately. Time to try and be better at it.

Checking in on our house and they electricians put our art light halfway down the wall. I was a little confused!! Something they will have to change!

Emmett just loves Lydia Hanson. He thinks she is so cute. Which she is. So he had to go sit by her when we were all outside enjoying the weather.

Our mud room is going to look so good!!

Had Emmett help dry out our little freezer that we were selling!

One of Wyatt's school projects. He was very proud of it and he did do a great job with his drawings.

Time for some Easter fun! This was the last year Kayden would be able to do the Pool Egg Hunt at the rec center. Next year he will be in full day Kindergarten and won't be able to. He had a fun time getting all the eggs out of the water.

I was not planning on getting in but Kayden and Mathew Palmer needed some help. Since I was in my swim suit I figured I could get in and help them. They were tipping over their baskets in the water and dropping all of their eggs back into the pool.

Kayden kept having his basket drag in the water. So it was filling up with water instead of just eggs. So I had to help him dump out the water so he could fit more eggs.

After gather all the eggs he could we were able to go play for a little while before heading home.

Brandon was also in a Pickleball tournament with Kirk Ottley.

They ended up taking 2nd! Pretty sweet for his first tournament .

Then it was time to do some egg dying!

Kayden always manages to stain his hands with the dye. They had fun with it this year but Ethan is starting to feel like he is too old to dye eggs. I think he did just 1 this year! He let his brothers do the rest.

Then we rode our bikes to the Timnath Park to do an Easter egg hunt for our Timnath Ranch ward.

The boys always love going to the ward egg hunt. We really don't do much of an egg hunt for easter at our house so this covers it for them. The mad dash for eggs is always funny to watch.

Easter Morning basket hunt!!

Each year the older boys tell us that they hope that their baskets get put in really hard spots. Well the Easter bunny seems to deliver. Wyatt could not find his basket anymore. It took quite a while before he found his. I do believe it took Ethan a really long time as well.

Kayden with his candy horde! haha

They were pretty proud at how their eggs turned out.

Those little circles on the eggs were from the boys fingers. At first Emmett was just holding his egg trying to dye it and I noticed the circles it was creating. So then they used that technique to make their designs on their eggs. Turned out pretty cool!

My parents did an egg hunt in their yard for the boys this year!

They had fun finding eggs there as well. Plus my mom put some money in some eggs. So when they started finding money in eggs they got super excited. I can't remember how much each boy ended up with but I think Emmett got the most and it was something like $15. haha

Our house is looking so good!! They have stone going up and the blue stucco was put on the house. Our builder had texted Brandon and said that he was anxious to see what we thought of the color. So we were actually really terrified that is turned out terrible. When we pulled up to the house we were very relieved!! haha In fact we told our builder Rob Davis that he was mean for scaring us like that!! haha Well there goes our last Easter in our Banner house!
