Four Day Weekend

So Brandon actually had Martin Luther King Day off. Which is funny because he did not get Presidents Day off or anything like that, but oh well I am just glad that he got it off. So he took off Friday because he only had like one class in the morning. So we had a 4 day weekend together. We had a lot of fun.

Brandon and I went golfing! It was a gorgeous day and we had a lot of fun!

Brandon stained our mantel that we got from Carlan. He had to sand it all down by hand and then he finally was able to stain it.

We went over to our friends Dan and Tristy's house and played the dance game on Wii. So of coarse I had to take some pictures of the guys dancing.

Brandon and I rocked at this game. We ended up winning almost the whole time we played! It was fun!

Ethan was worn out after all that excitement!

Family Pictures 2010

While we were in California we also took family pictures. It was pretty cold the day we took pictures and poor little Ethan was freezing and by the end he was so tired, hungry and cold which is not a good combination for anyone especially for a baby! We got some really cute pictures that day! Enjoy!

Ethan was really cold and so he got wrapped up in Grandpa Bells jacket! He really liked it he stayed so still while he was wrapped up in my Dad's jacket it was so funny!!

Growing

Well Ethan turned 6 months old at the beginning of this month. He is just getting so big!

His stats at the doctors...

Weight: 14 lbs and 8 ounces (5th percentile)

Height: 25 1/2 inches (20 to 30th percentile)

One the day that Ethan turned 6 months we gave him some peas mixed in with rice cereal and he actually seemed to like it. However after his doctors appointment and we got the go ahead for baby food he did not like his peas! So we don't give him peas but he does really well with his baby food and he seems to really like eating his baby food.

He LOVES carrots! This is a picture of him attacking the spoon! haha

He also really likes squash! He really likes water too. We have given just a little bit of water every so often and he really likes it.

So far he likes carrots, squash, mixed vegetables, green beans w/squash,

pears, applesauce w/blueberries, bananas!

Ethan is growing up way too fast. I am sad to see him grow so fast but I am also so excited for these new and exciting times with him. He is so much fun and we think he is getting close to crawling. He loves to sit up by himself, he is not a pro yet but he is getting there. While we were in California for Christmas he gave Brandon kisses for the first time on December 30th it was soo cute and I can't wait until he does it consistently. He has the best laugh and I can always get to him to laugh so hard and it is so fun. He rolled over from back to tummy on January 2nd and has been getting so much better at it! We love him so much and are so thankful to have him in our lives!

Christmas 2010

Well this year we went down to my parents house in California for Christmas. But, before we went down to California we had our own Christmas just our little family. It was fun, Brandon got me a new sink faucet. I LOVE it!!!!! I was telling Brandon that you know you are grown up when you get super excited about getting a faucet for christmas! haha He also got me a crimper and I am glad to finally have one. He also got me Beauty and the Beast which is awesome since I love Disney movies. I got Brandon new hair clippers which he needed badly, a nice button up shirt and the playstation move! :-) So it was a great christmas. Oh and we got Ethan a light up snail toy and he likes it so that was fun!

While we were in California we went and saw Christmas lights at Therobread (or however you spell the name haha) We go every year and it was fun to bring Ethan and have him look at all the lights!

Then the Monday after Christmas we went to Disney Land and it was a lot of fun. However, it was so incredibly crowded that we really did not go on all that many rides but it was fun anyways, and it was Ethan's first time at Disney Land so that was fun!

We fed him some rice cereal with applesauce mixed in with it. Boy did he love it! He was attacking the spoon it was so funny! He had done well with eating rice cereal before but with the applesauce he loved it! haha
