Birthday's and Anniversary!

When we got back from Idaho Brandon and I celebrated our 3rd year anniverary! Brandon and I went out to Cheese Cake Factory and split a meal and actually got some cheescake! It was really yummy and it is always nice to get out just the 2 of us. He also bought me these flowers...
Then he told me that my anniversary present was also part of my birthday present which he was not giving me my birthday present yet so I would have to wait. So anyways then that Friday the 15th we had Ethans Birthday Party. It was fun we just had a few people over and had cake and ice cream. Not half as many people showed up as we had planned but that happens during the summer. My parents also came down for the party and we had fun. Ethan seemed to enjoy the cake but got tired of it after just a bit. He also ended up finally taking a nap which he slept like a half hour into his party and Brandon had to wake him up! Anyways here are some pictures that my mom took! Thank goodness or I would not have many pictures of this fun time.

Proud Cake makers! :-) We really liked how the cake turned out and it tasted really yummy! :-)
I did a vanilla cake and a chocolate cake and in between the two I made a chocolate mouse! Then of coarse I did a butter cream frosting for the top and sides! The car was made out of rice crispies and we covered it with fondant!
Ethan with his Birthday Cake!
He really was not interested in the candle he just wanted to touch the cake! haha
He enjoyed licking off the candle though!
Ethan ready to dig into his yummy Birthday cake!
Not to sure about it yet...

Mmmm

He got tired of the sweet taste after a while! haha
Look at that funny face with black frosting all over!
Family picture! We all enjoy the cake!
All done!

Present time!! My parents got him some gifts for his birthday. He had fun opening up the presents and all I can say is this kid was having fun with the paper! haha

Building block Legos!!! Yay!!!
Having fun with Grandpa Bell!
Opening up his present from Great Grandma and Grandpa Edwards.
He really liked the present even if it is for 3 year olds and up! haha
Pushing around his other present from Grandma and Grandpa. This little wagon deal holds all of his Lego blocks!
Grandpa giving him a ride in it! haha

What a cute little boy I have! I love this little boy so much! Also the weekend that my parents were here Ethan decided that he was ready to walk more. So that Saturday the 16th He was walking all over our family room and now he is pretty much pro! He still falls alot but he likes to walk everywhere and it is fun to see he waddle around!

Then the next weekend we spent Friday night and part of Saturday and the SquaPeak Hilton Hotel in the Presidential Suite! It was so much fun. It was a really nice hotel with a few pools. The big pool and a big waterfall which was very pretty and then there was a lazy river and some mini golf. We ate at one of the restaurants there and it was pretty good and Ethan ate almost his entire kids meal which included 6 mini corn dogs and a bowl of fruit. Needless to say he was super hungry it was funny to watch him dig into his dinner. Then after dinner the fun started and the rest of the time we were there we did one round of mini golf and Brandon helped Ethan try a few times. We spent some good time in the pool with the waterfall and the lazy river. The water was surprisingly cold for what we were expecting so it felt really nice! It was such a nice Birthday present/ anniversary present. I am one lucky girl! It was fun to go on a little family vacation. Ethan did really well for not getting the naps he needed. He was pretty tired for a lot of it but he was a champ and kept up with our craziness! They even had a dive in movie and we stayed for some of it but then left so we could get Ethan to bed.

relaxing and getting ready to go down to the pool.

Our room obviously this is the view from our bed looking at the bathroom which was pretty small. There were 2 bathrooms, one half bath which was really big and then the full bath which was like half the size pretty funny if you ask me! haha

Where we slept.
The view of the hall from the front room.
The front room!

Ethan chilling on the couch controlling the T.V. haha
Lets go swimming! :-)
Love my little family!
What a handsome man I am married to!

Having breakfast in our room and getting ready to go swimming. Brandon went to the store the night before and got some milk and the little mini boxes of cereal and that is what we had for breakfast! It was fun! haha
The pool area.

Hanging out in the lazy river!

Daddy and Ethan enjoying the lazy river!
There were little streams of water coming off of the sides of the river and Ethan really liked them! It was pretty funny!

Relaxing!!

Splash!

So much fun

The pool with the waterfall. I am sad that this picture did not turn out but I guess there was some smudge on the lens that we did not realize until I checked the camera when we were home already! Sad day oh well I guess we will just have to go back and go swimming! :-) Anyways it was so much fun and the best birthday present!!
Then on my real birthday it was just like any other day except for all of the birthday wishes that I got and we went to Red Robin for dinner and I got a free hamburger which was pretty cool. Then Brandon got Ethan bathed up and in bed as I went and got us some ice cream from Culvers and we watch "Unknown" So it was a pretty good day too. What a great couple of weeks; Ethan's Birthday party mine and Brandon's anniversary and then my Birthday! What great memories we have in this family!
