Staycation

So on Wednesday the 12th we had planned to do a little stay-cation with the boys. At first we were planning on using this stay-cation to go to the Temple but after planning it and booking the hotel we realized that the Temple was closed. So we figured it would just be a fun outing that we could have fun making memories with the boys. So we booked a hotel in Denver and told the boys that we were going to be staying at a hotel with a hot tub! Ethan was so excited that he talked about it about every day until we went. He would get so upset when I told him that we were not going to be going each day and then when it finally arrived they were excited but they had gotten colds, go figure! Brandon had a CE coarse that morning in Denver so the boys and I headed down after preschool and hung out at the hotel until he was done. Then the fun started! We had dinner at the hotel and then went swimming for a little while. After going swimming we headed back to our room grabbed some popcorn and watched a movie while eating popcorn laying on our beds! The boys thought it was so much fun! The night was terrible for sleeping though! Since Ethan had caught Wyatt's cold he was up every hour until about 2:30 and then up again at 4 and 6. It was a very long night and each time he would just freak out. We are lucky that Wyatt did not wake up while laying next to him during his freak out sessions! That next morning we grabbed lunch and then went to the pool again to enjoy it one last time before checking out of the hotel. After swimming we got washed up, packed up, checked out and then headed to ikea to grab some shelving for the basement!

The boys thought it was so cool to play with the phone! The only rule was they could not touch any of the buttons!

Getting ready to go swimming!

All ready to go swimming!

Movie time!!

Our Hotel Breakfast!

Silly cute boys!

Wyatt took this picture!

And this one!

Ethan took this one!

They were being zombies!! haha

Wyatt took these too! haha

Ethan wanted to take this picture of his cereal!

Oh and this one! haha

Ethan took this picture of the pool..
and hot tub!

They sure enjoyed the hot tub. Well once the burning stopped! haha

It was a fun staycation even though Ethan had such a hard time. He is such a panzy when it comes to being sick! The boys had a blast swimming in the hot tub and staying up late. Even though it became a nightmare in the middle of the night we were glad that we did it so we could make some fun memories with our boys!
I also must quickly mention how terrible it was to go to ikea. Sure Ikea was great but since Ethan had gotten only a few solid hours of sleep he had a total melt down while at Ikea. It was great having him screaming and hitting and trying to bite (yes I said trying to bite) us while everyone was watching. Besides that but everyone got to watch us try to discipline him and calm him down as well! It was a lovely occasion! We should have known that it would happen with him being sick and having no sleep and barely any food in him since he didnt want to eat! But, we always hope it will turn out better than it does! haha
Anyways, besides all of that joyous stuff we really did have a fun time. :-)

Valentines Day

For Valentines Day this year Brandon had to work a half day. So the boys and I hung out at home in the morning. I gave the boys hair cuts and then we headed to Daddy's office to drop of cookies I had made for him to take but he forgot! So We headed out and got to see Daddy for a little bit in the middle of the day. The boys love visiting daddy at work which does not happen that often anymore since his office is farther away. So we dropped off the cookies and then headed home to have some lunch and play until Daddy got home. After Daddy got home we headed to Sam's club to grab a few things and then played at home until bed time. Since Brandon and I did not get a babysitter for Valentines Day we decided to just get some take out and eat it when the boys went to sleep that night. It made for a nice quiet dinner. We picked up some East Moon asian food and watched some Harry Potter! haha It was a very relaxing enjoyable evening together!

This is a picture of one of he heart messages I left for Brandon around the house. I got up and put them up when I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night so that he would see them before he left for work! :-) He was pretty surprised by them and love it! :-) It was fun to do!

This is the card that Ethan made for me and Brandon at preschool! So cute!! We got it in the mail that afternoon!

During our visit to Daddy's office the boys got to play dentist for a few minutes before we headed home!
Wyatt was first! He sat in the chair and told Brandon he needed his gloves! haha

Then it was time to look in Ethan's mouth!

Wyatt was done when he realized his gloves had slobber on them! haha Then he wanted the gloves off!

Then it was Ethan's turn!

Wyatt patiently waiting to be checked by Doctor Ethan! haha

They were both clear of any cavities!! haha

When we went to Sam's Club there were some people selling little Valentines outside of the store for  buck each. So when we headed out of Sam's Club I found 2 dollars worth of quarters in my wallet. So I bought the boys each a Valentine. They were so excited!! They LOVED their heart valentines that had cookies inside! Wyatt told me, "thank you mom!! I love you for my heart!!" haha It was cute! He is always so genuinely happy for things it is really cute!!

These were the Beautiful flowers that Brandon got me a few days before Valentines Day!! He must love me!!! :-)
It turned out to be a great Valentines Day. Chill but great and nothing too exciting but it was a good one! :-) I have the best Husband in the world! I couldn't ask for a better person to spend this life and eternity with!

The end of our Trip

The next morning after Disneyland Brandon and I woke up at about 2:30 so that we could be to Arizona before 9 that morning. It was a really early morning after our tiring day at Disneyland. However, it was worth it since we were able to go through the temple with Devin (Jason's wife) for her first time. It was a good morning spent with Devin and Brandons parents in the temple and being able to support Devin for her first time since she is the only member in her family and had no one else to go with her. After the great morning going through the temple and sharing that special time with her we met up with Jason and went out for some pizza for lunch at Barro's. After that we headed back to their place and played some card games before Brandon and I had to take off back to California. It was a short trip, but, it was worth it!

Brandon and I stopped by Yogurtology which was our favorite frozen yogurt place in AZ on our way out. Funny thing is that we used to have a card with them but didnt think it would be existent anymore since we had been gone for over a year. She looked up our number and we were still in there. Not only that, but, we had 3 dollars off a frozen yogurt! It was awesome! haha So we thoroughly enjoyed our yogurt on the way home!

Stopped by our first home!! It was so weird to see it again! The palm tree was HUGE!! haha

Ashley sent us this picture saying that Wyatt did not want to lay on the couch, he wanted to lay like this!! I thought it was funny and I just had to add it! :-)

Luckily we got back around 10 that night and got some good sleep so we could enjoy the next few days in Cali and just relax! We played games with everyone and just enjoyed spending time with my siblings before they headed out on Sunday afternoon! On Monday we ran some errands and went to the Maternity store so I could get a few things and then went and grabbed a little treat before heading back to the house to relax!
Enjoying some frozen yogurt with GG.

That night we headed to IN N OUT for one last meal before we headed out on Tuesday!! Then Tuesday morning we got all packed up and let the boys play outside one last time before we had to leave and get on a plane to go home! Then for lunch we headed to Chick fil a with my parents and let the boys play before making them sit in the plane for a couple of hours. Then we had to say Good Bye! It is always so sad saying Bye!! In Brandon's words, "its always like a funeral!" haha After saying our Good byes we headed to our terminal and sat and waited to board our flight. The boys did great again on the plane ride! It worked out so nicely because the plane was not full, so I sat with Wyatt and had an extra chair next to us and Brandon sat next to ethan with an extra chair next to them. So we had a ton of space to move around with and Wyatt had fun going from window seat to middle seat! By the end they were so tired!! Wyatt made it all the way until we took the shuttle to our car and then he slowly started to fall asleep!

So tired!!! I held on tight to him and he just nodded off! haha
They slept until we stopped and got sandwiches from Firehouse subs for dinner and then they woke up. So we gave them their sandwich and put on a movie for them to enjoy while we finished the drive home! It was nice to finally be home and we were lucky that the boys went right back into their own rooms without a hesitation. I was worried that they would be wanting to share a room again since they had been for the past 2 weeks but they didnt say anything about wanting to be in the same room. They just went right to bed. The only difference was Wyatt wanted a pillow! haha He had gotten used to sleeping on a pillow at Grandpa and GG's house and he must have liked it because he now sleeps on a pillow! haha
It was such a fun trip! We were so glad to be able to spend the time with Grandpa and GG and most of my siblings for a little while! We sure wish we had family living closer so we could get together more often! Maybe some day but for now we just have to enjoy the little visits we get with them every once in a while!! We are truly blessed with such great families on both sides!!
