Last few days with Grandpa and GG

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Thanks to my mom for taking a New Year picture of us. :-) It is our first family picture of 2017.
Another great start to the new year was that church was now at 11 instead of 9. So we were able to relax a little bit that morning and eat some food and then get ready for church. After church the rest of the day was pretty relaxing. My parents took the kids downstairs to play and Brandon and I fell asleep on the couch for a Sunday nap. We did not mean to sleep as long as we did, but, Emmett was asleep and slept longer than expected so we joined him.

Monday we woke up to snow. Brandon had to go back to work that morning so the rest of us enjoyed the morning and then got our snow stuff on and headed out to shovel the drive way.

Grandpa and GG joined in on the fun and then GG headed off to take some pictures. :-)
It was pretty cold outside and Ethan had left his snow glove in the backyard so it was under a bunch of snow and he decided he wasn't going to put any gloves on. Then Wyatt decided he didn't need gloves and took them off. I don't understand the logic in that but whatever. There are only so many times I can tell them to put their gloves on before I have to let them learn the hard way.

Tuesday we headed to the dentist to get GG's crown put on. Great way to kick off the new year with a visit to the Dentist. Luckily, our Dentist is the most handsome Dentist ever so it makes it a little easier to want to go. ;-)

GG got her crown put on, Grandpa got impressions to make a mouth piece to help him not snore and Ethan and Wyatt got cleanings. It was a busy afternoon! haha

What a cute stinking kid. Wednesday morning my mom and I went through all of my baby clothes so she could take them home with her to give to Tifany. We figured it was kind of an Indian gift. If by chance we end up not having a girl next time around then we will need the clothes back. haha So we went through the clothes and pulled out basically all of the newborn to 12 month clothes for her to take. While doing so we found a hat and Emmett wanted it on. He was so funny walking around with this hat on. He is just a silly kid and loves to put hats on and take them off. As soon as he takes a hat off he wants it right back on. haha

The boys having fun relaxing with Grandpa watching a movie!

It was sure fun having my parents here for Christmas. I was so glad that they got to stay as long as they did and yet is never seems long enough. Thankfully, this Christmas break went by a lot slower than time with my parents ever seems to go and that was nice. It was so sad to drive them to the airport and watch them leave! The only nice thing was that we knew we would see them in just a few short weeks. That made it a little easier, but, not by much! So we said "see you later" and my mom and I cried like always. Then we were off to drive back home and my parents were off to go wait for their plane to board.

They did send us this lovely picture. haha I was surprised that the Denver Airport had Christmas stuff still up with is being a week past Christmas! My silly parents! :-)
It was a great visit from them. Lots of card games, laughs, playing with the kids, food and honey toast (made by my dad of course) and just lot of good memories. One night the boys even performed for us. They set up the toy boxes for us to sit on and made little notes for us on the specific chairs that we were supposed to sit on. They danced to their own made up songs and performed for probably 10 minutes going back and forth on whose turn it was to dance again. Then Emmett had to join in and he would get up on the stage and dance too and try to sing his own songs. It was pretty much classic. I sadly didn't get any pictures. We have video of it and it will be so funny to watch over and over again and to show the boys when they get older! :-) What a great memory making Christmas Break!!
