More fun and ringing in the New Year

The rest of the week after our fun of bowling and dates we had a lot of down time. We had fun playing at the house and the boys just had a blast spending time with Grandpa and GG. We also drove around and looked at houses and walked through a few model homes. We would really love it if my parents moved here to Colorado. So we were trying to get them wanting to move here even more. haha This was the first trip that my Dad sounded excited about trying to move here at some point.

Emmett loved his Grandpa and would reach for him when he was doing his work. haha My Dad always brings some work to do. Which, was a good point that we brought up to him. We told him that he doesn't need to be in California to still work. He does most of his work on the computer anyways, so he could just move to Colorado and do his work from his home and then when he needs to meet with a client he would just fly down and plan to meet with everyone he needed to in that time frame that he was down there. haha We were really trying to plant those kind of thoughts into his mind so that they might move here before our kids are all grown up and out of their cute wanting to fight bad guys and play with you phase. haha

Oh, Emmett!! He is such a cutie and such a goof ball just like his older brothers.

Park time: We decided it was warm enough to get out and play at the park for a little bit. Ethan wanted to try out his new bat he got for Christmas from Wyatt so we figured it would be fun. Brandon had to go into work and see an emergency patient again so we decided to go and he could meet us there. It ended up being colder than we had thought so we didn't last very long.

It was fun while it lasted!
I love how tiny Emmett looks holding hands with his Grandpa.

My kids love GG's iPad!! haha

They also performed for us a lot. We would turn on the music and the three of them would jump up onto the automan and start dancing for us. haha

Brandon and my mom made an obstacle course for the boys to do down in the basement. They LOVED it!

Looks like Wyatt won! haha CLASSIC faces!!!

My dad really like Freddies so we headed there for dinner one night and ended going through the drive through to let my dad and mom get it one last time before they left. We didn't really care for it twice so we ended up going through McDonald's drive thru for the kids, grabbing chipotle for Brandon and I and then hitting the drive thru at Freddies. haha

On Saturday New Years Eve morning Brandon and I headed to the Temple a little earlier and after we all headed down to Thornton to meet Jason and his wife Devin and their daughter Kaylyn as well as David and Hayley for breakfast at Kneeders. Brandon had gotten a text from Jason saying that they had an 8 hour layover in Denver and if we wanted to meet up for just a little bit it would be fun. So we thought about it and realized that their was a kneelers in Denver that would be yummy which my Dad was excited about. haha So told them to meet us in Thornton at the Kneeders and texted David and Hayley and they were down to meet us there too. So it was another family meeting. :-)

I tried to get a picture of everyone and didn't even realize that I had covered up Kaylyn. haha Her arm is in the picture at least!

Cute little cousins!
Then we said so long to Jason and Devin as well as David and Hayley. David and Hayley were heading to Texas in a few days for internships. So they had a big adventure ahead of them and Jason and Devin had a long day of waiting around to get their flight back to Chicago. It was fun to meet up with everyone for an hour or so to end the year off right.

Latter that evening before bed it was time to bang pots and pans and scream "HAPPY NEW YEAR" while running around the kitchen.

It took Emmett a little bit to understand what was going on and to get excited about it. However, once he got the hang of it he didn't want it to end and cried when we took the bowl and spoon away from him. haha Ethan and Wyatt decided that they had to bang their pots and bowls as loud as humanly possible. I am surprised that I could hear anything after they were done. haha Great end to the night and a great end to the year 2016. We then put the boys to bed and us adults played games the rest of the night. We did not really plan on staying up until midnight but we did because we are crazy like that!
