Disneyland!!!

We decided this year was the best year to go to Disneyland. I had the help of a friend from our ward Janette Childs to plan everything for our trip. Before we knew it the time had come and we were off to California! My heels started hurting me really bad 2 weeks before we left and I was getting really worried how I was going to handle all the walking when it hurt me so bad to just walk around the kitchen. Thankfully I was referred to a different Physical Therapist from RaQuelle Willey. So I decided to go to this new place and I was able to get in 2 times before our trip. Sam my new PT said it was my Sciatic nerve that was causing my pains. So she dry needled along the line of the nerve and that helped a lot. I was able to use some heel lifts she made for me while I was at an appointment and I walked pretty much the whole 2 days. My Dad rented a scooter for the 2 days so he wouldn't have to walk the whole time and have his knees hurt. So he let ride it a couple of times. Thankfully, I didn't need it much.

Anyways, our Disney trip was a lot of fun but also felt really busy. We went from one ride to the next and had to constantly be on the app to look for a fast pass for the next ride. I think we were all exhausted by the time the we were heading home. haha All of the boys were really brave and went on basically everything. Emmett even went on the Incredicoaster! I was super surprised he wanted to go on it. He only went once and then he didn't want to go again. But hey, he went on it at the age of 8! That is better than I would have at his age. Kayden LOVED big thunder mountain. In fact all the boys did. I think I wish we had gone on the Cars ride one more time before we headed home. The lines just got so long so fast. We were able to do all the rides we really wanted to do. Plus the boys had worked really hard to earn some money over the summer by reading books so that they could buy a souvenir at Disney. They were pretty excited to buy something from the stores. It was a fun trip and we had fun going on rides and enjoying time together.

We enjoyed some dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp company our first night there. The weather was just so nice we really enjoyed walking around outside in the warmth surrounded by palm trees.

All ready for our fun filled first day at Disney!

We rope dropped both days. So we were up and ready to go nice and early both mornings. We had to wake the kids up to get ready and down to breakfast before walking over to the parks.

Kayden got to meet Mickey in person! He was pretty excited about that! I think Emmett was pretty excited too!

The boys first coaster of the day! They LOVED IT!!

Then we went to the Mickeys railway ride since it was the newest ride. We wanted to hit that first so that we missed the huge lines. It was perfect. As soon as it opened we got in line and walked all the way to the front. It was really fun and we were glad we got in line before it got too busy.

While the older boys went on space mountain me, Gigi and Kayden rode the rockets. We tried to squeeze into one and it was a tight squeeze!! haha we almost didn't fit. I think Kayden liked it though. He was already pretty tired. The other boys really liked space mountain. Thankfully, they got on that one pretty quick too.

Nothing like some driving lessons at Autopia! haha Ethan said he was going to not bump the sides so that we could keep my back from hurting. Well.... I think he was shooting to do the opposite! haha I felt like he was trying to hit the sides. He was laughing and saying that he was trying to not hit them but that it was turning him. I worry for our future with him driving for real!! Just Kidding!! haha

Corn dog lunch break!

They are totally my children. haha Making silly faces in pictures!! The corn dogs were tasty as always!!

Kayden complained but, thankfully we got him to eat some and then he ate chips and was happy again.

The boys really liked the Jungle Cruise too!

Pirates of the Caribbean was a favorite too. We rode this one twice! The boys really liked it. It is one of my favorites too.

We splurged and ate at the Blue Bayou for dinner that night! It ended up not being that great and way expensive for the food we got. It made us change our minds on the reservations for the next day. The boys just complained about their food and we had to coax them to eat it. I think Ethan did ok with his food. He is starting to eat more these days.

As soon as Kayden found these cars he was sold. He wanted them so bad! I told him that he could get one thing with his money and that was what he wanted. He was so stoked! He did a wicked laugh as soon as we bought them and he wanted to open it ASAP. It was pretty cute!!

Thankfully we got a fast pass for the haunted mansion. It was like a 90 minute wait in the standby line. So we were really glad we didn't have to wait in that massive line.

We had to wait quite a while for the rise of the resistance ride. If I remember correctly it was our last ride for the night. Kayden was tired and in order to keep us occupied I used the app and we took a bunch of pictures with little backgrounds. It was fun and Kayden loved it. In fact Kayden saw the picture with Mickey behind him and thought Micky was really behind him. It was pretty funny. Then after we had been waiting for a while Kayden decided that he needed to go potty. He was holding himself and doing a dance. We tried to hold off as long as we could. I had no idea how much longer we had to wait in line. So finally I asked a lady who had an empty water bottle if I could have it. I went up to her and said, "I have a weird favor to ask you. Can I have your empty water bottle? We have an emergency!" They laughed and gave me the bottle. So I took Kayden around a corner and let him pee into the water bottle. He filled it halfway! I don't think he would have been able to hold it much longer. So I am glad we decided to do that. Then we were able to enjoy the rest of our time in line and enjoy the ride without anyone peeing their pants.

It was a really cool ride! The amount of thought that went into it was amazing and the ride itself was really fun! After that ride we walked around bit and the boys tried to decide if they wanted to spend their money on anything. Then we walked back to the hotel to get some sleep before the next long day.

Our second day was our California adventure day! I was excited for Kayden to see cars land. We were pretty tired from the previous day still. But, excited for the day ahead of us.

Kayden being all love Dovie with me and Gigi. The line said it was over an hour but it ended up only taking us like 40 minutes.

The kids LOVED this ride! My only regret is that we only went on it once.

Emmetts face in this picture is classic! He was terrified!!!! The older boys loved it and went again. Emmett might have been a little small for this ride! I am proud of him for going on it though!

We met up with Devin and Jason in Marvel land and went on the Guardians of the Galaxy ride together. Emmett was all buddy buddy with Devin. That was a rough ride on the kids. Ethan had a headache after and Wyatt was coming down with a cold and was complaining that his throat was hurting bad.

The boys went on Big Bear Rapids and thought it was super fun. They were all wet when they got off and they liked it. haha Such cuties I have in my life!

Right before calling it a night we ran into Lightning McQueen! We were able to catch a picture with him as we passed by. We were so glad we did since Kayden loves Cars so much. Emmett thought it was pretty cool too. It's funny I feel like the magic is stronger when they are little. Kayden's age was perfect. Emmett still felt the magic of everything. Ethan and Wyatt enjoyed it and wanted to go on more coaster like rides.

Overall it was a great trip! It was exhausting but it was fun! The kids had fun and we have some fun memories! I sure do love these guys!! Plus it was so fun having my Mom and Dad join us for this trip! The boys love having Papa and Gigi come with us on trips. So it was a good one! Until the next time we get away with them! For now it's back to reality!
