Oh Baby

So here is the latest and greatest on my pregnancy! Well lets see I started feeling my baby move at about 14 weeks! I thought that the twitches that I felt were a little different than what I am used to when my muscles twitch so I thought, "That could be our baby". I would tell Brandon that maybe I was feeling our baby. I did not feel it very often I would feel it maybe a couple times a week, maybe less. Then when I was about 15 and a half weeks I had a lot more twitches and more often so I texted my friend to ask what it felt like when she felt her babies move for the first time. She said that it felt like muscle twitches. So I knew that I had been feeling my baby move!! :-) That made me really happy to know that I was right that it was my baby moving that I was feeling. So when Brandon came home from school I told him that I really was feeling our baby move. Now as time has past by I have felt this little baby move more often and this baby is a LOT stronger now. In fact just the other day on February 16 the baby must have been kicking me pretty hard because I after it happened once I thought holy cow that was a big one...! So I decided to put my hand on my stomach and see if I could feel it. So then the baby kicked or punched again and I felt it with my hand. I had felt my baby from the outside for the first time. It was not just a twitch was the inside I had actually felt it with my hand. Our baby is getting really strong really fast!! So I texted Brandon and told him that the next time our baby was moving he would have to try and feel it because I had! It is pretty awesome to feel my baby move. Especially when the baby hits me hard enough to let me feel it with my hand. I really like it! So anyways... that night when we were going to bed Brandon tried to feel our baby move. The problem is that it is a lot harder to tell which kicks or punches are hard enough to feel from the outside. So I would say "Oh... did you feel that one?? or that one??" Since Brandon could not feel them he got all discouraged and was like "Our baby hates me!" So I decided to see if I could feel it and.. nope they were too small! So I told him that he will have to try again some other time! Something else I think is funny is that I swear my baby get on sugar highs.... hahaha! I won't feel anything for a long time and then I will feel a little bit and then all of a sudden BAM.... the baby goes nuts!!! It is the funniest thing. I will be just sitting down on the couch and then all of a sudden my baby is having a blast inside of me. It makes me laugh whenever it happens! Then last night Brandon and I were watching "Couples Retreat" which was funny but inappropriate at times. Anyways so I think it was right after the movie the baby started going crazy....! So I put my hand on my stomach to see if I could feel it and I felt too distinct hits where my hand was and so Brandon wanted to try!! Now this is what was hillarious.. So as soon as Brandon put his hand on my stomach the baby stopped moving.!! I think he put the baby to sleep because his hands are so warm hahah! It was so weird because the baby had been moving like crazy just seconds before Brandon tried to feel the baby move and then in an instant the baby stopped moving as hard and then nothing... haha! Anyways so Brandon must have the magic touch for putting our baby to sleep already. So I think that will be his job when the baby is really here! haha

Also yesterday I went to the doctors and everything looked good! The babies heart beat was strong and that makes me happy! It was really cool to hear the heart beat again. This time though the heart beat sounded a lot louder which was cool. The last time I heard it it was kind of hard to hear on the doppler. This time it was so loud there was no mistaking it, and Brandon got to hear it too besides just from the camera haha! I also had to do an early glucose test so when Brandon and I got to the doctors office I had to drink the infamous drink! I had heard that it tasted like flat orange soda so I was not too afraid. However, it was a fruit punch flavor so I asked the lady what it tasted like and she said that it kind of tasted like gaterade and that I had to drink it within 5 minutes and then let her know when I was done so that she could clock in what time I would come back to get my blood drawn. I decided to smell the drink first and it smelled just like gaterade! So I figured I would just chug it and get it over with. It seriously tasted like fruit punch with way too much sugar haha! It burned the back of my throat it was actually quite funny! I would cough after every drink. But, it really was not all that bad! So At least I know what to expect when I have to do it later. Now all I have to wait for is the results! Hopefully everything looks normal so I don't have to worry about anything! I should be fine because the same thing happened with my mom with all of her pregnancies and she never had gestational diabetes so I guess we shall just see! Anyways that pretty much updates everything! Oh and I have taken some pictures but I swear my tummy looks bigger in person than it does on camera. So I will put some pictures up soon but there is not much to show haha! Anyways I will keep you posted! :-)
