Christmas Vacation

So for Christmas this year we went to my parents house in California. It was a lot of fun hanging out with the family. The whole family was almost all there this year except for David because he is on his mission in Bolivia and Tifany who spent Christmas with her Boyfriend Quinton's family. Even though they were not there we had a lot of fun, and we finally got to meet my brothers little boy. It was still hard to really do too much because of having 3 kids in the house. With one toddler and 2 babies schedules were kind of all over the place with nap times and feedings so we kind of just hung out at the house and watched movies and played games. We did go out more than I think we did at Thanksgiving though and we had fun when we did. We left for California right after sacrament meeting the Sunday before Christmas since Brandon was singing in the ward Christmas choir that day. So after sacrament meeting we headed to my parents house. I was nursing so the trip was a little longer than it normally is, but that was to be expected with how long our trip at Thanksgiving was. When we got there my brother and sister were already there so the party had begun. Then I think it was the next night we went to see the Christmas lights on thorough bread which is a tradition and lots of fun. We also went and saw Le Miserable on Thursday which was really well done. So we had a lot of fun playing games and just hanging out as a family and enjoying sitting by the fireplace! :-) So here are some pictures was that week.

Wrapping Ethan up like a present! He thought it was a lot of fun! haha

The 2 babies. So Cute!!

These next pictures are from when we went and saw the Christmas lights!!

Grandpa and Ethan

Daddy and Wyatt!! So cute!! He was having a rough night that night, and of coarse we did not bring his binkie so luckily we had Ethans new binkies we had bought him in the diaper bag.

My brother and his little boy Michael.

Love my family!!

What a cute little Santas helpers!

Then on Christmas Eve night we had Ethan do the traditional letter to santa sent up the chimney. He loved it. He told us what he wanted Santa to bring him (a big dump truck) and we wrote it down on a napkin and then when we were all ready (since I was upstairs a the time nursing they had to wait till I came down) my Dad took the shovel to the fireplace and put the napkin on it and shoots it up the chimney. Ethan thought that was pretty cool. :-) That was always my favorite part of Christmas eve when I was little.

Then after we sent his letter to Santa one of Santas elves dropped off on the doorstep the jar with Santa's favorite cookie recipe in it. So we had Ethan help us make Santa's cookies so we could put them by the fireplace before bed. He really liked doing that. Especially trying them after they were cooked.

Auntie Ashley with Wyatt!!

Then this year my mom started a new tradition on giving the girls matching pajamas on Christmas Eve. They were night a comfy and cute!!

We were in charge of going through the Nativity story.
Ethan did really well with putting up the characters up on the board!

On Christmas morning we all had to be up at 7 to video chat with my Brother David on the computer. He was really late getting on and we were all getting worried that he would not get a hold of us and be able to talk with us. Luckily he finally came of and we got to see him for just a few minutes before the connection cut out. So he just called us on the phone and we got to all talk and listen to him that way. It was fun to hear his voice. He is doing well in Bolivia and really enjoys serving the people there.

After that was done it was stocking time. Ethan was so funny that morning. For one, when he went into where the stockings were by the fireplace he noticed that the plate of Santa's cookies and that Santa had eaten them. Then he went to town on his stocking. He got some cool stuff in his stocking. Santa sure knows how to stuff those stockings. Then we wanted to save Santa's big present for Ethan till later so we hid it. However, we later learned that we should have done it first so that he would have been so excited about getting it. Since we waited till the end he was burnt out from present opening and everything. So it was kind of anti climatic. Oh well he still liked it a lot!

There it is. Ethans BIG Dump Truck from Santa Clause!

The traditional turtles! YUM!!!!

Then my mom made Brandon's dreams come true and got him a white Audi r8 car haha. It is just to put up in his office but it is good looking! :-) haha Brandon thought that was pretty hillarious!

Since Daddy had a beard GG drew a beard on Ethan! :-)

Silly Ethan!

We took wyatt with us to see Le Miserable since I figured it would be easier on a babysitter to just watch Ethan and Michael. Wyatt did really well the entire movie.

Love this picture of my Dad and Wyatt!

Ethan got tired while we were shopping at Kohls and decided to lay down! haha Silly boy!!

What a cute little baby boy we have!

This is the picture that my mom took when Wyatt turned 3 months old.

While we were there Brandon put in the new faucet that we all helped to get for my parents for Christmas and Ethan wanted to help! :-)

Yay for a great Christmas with family! Probably the last one that we will be with the family for Christmas day! Time to start our own traditions with our little family!! But, it was a blast and we are glad that we went. We also spent New Years with my family but that was pretty chill. We did bang pots and pans with Ethan before he went to bed on New Years Eve and that was hilarious and awesome. I think it was New Years Eve that we watched the Avengers and Ethan was so funny while watching it. He starting saying that he was Iron Man and running around and then he got a bowl and put it of his head. He then said that I was Captain America and my Dad was the Hulk. He gave us helmets to wear too and he thought it was pretty awesome! He is such a cute funny kid!! Here is a picture of that awesomeness! :-)

And there we have our first part of Christmas break!
