Bowling 2015

On January 12th we decided to take the boys bowling since it was the last day that we could do something fun all together as a family before me and the boys headed off to Cali. We thought it would be fun to do and we hadn't been bowling in a really long time. So we went for it. The boys had a blast!! It was way less stressful than the last time that we went. The boys listened pretty well with keeping their fingers and faces away from the balls so we didn't have to worry about that and they were more excited about it this time than last. We had a blast and were glad that we did it. Ethan did end up smashing his finger towards the very end. He was moving a ball and it fell and smashed his finger a little. At first he just looked surprised and looked at us like he was in trouble. Then the pain set in and he realized that it really hurt. I swear sometimes my boys think that I tell them things to be mean, when in fact I am trying to protect them! haha I guess that is how parenting goes! 

So much fun with my little family!!! 

Life from January 2nd - January 8th

We started the New Year off right by Brandon and I going and getting donuts for all of us since Brandon's parents were with us. Then Brandon and I ran to Sam's Club to grab a few things before the day started and we ended up making our first big 2015 purchase...

This couch! haha We have been looking for a couch for our basement and had almost bought a cloth couch at American Furniture Warehouse. However, when we walked into Sam's and saw this couch and then sat on in we decided that it was better than the other one and only a little more expensive. So we ended up buying it and enjoying it that evening! :-) 

I decided to take down our Christmas decorations quicker this year since we were going to be leaving for California and I was really sad to take down the tree. So we thought it would be a good idea to take the ornaments down and leave the tree up for just a little longer. Ya, that did not work. Without the ornaments it was not as Christmasy and nice as I had thought it would be. So I had to take it all down. 

For Christmas my parents got the boys a little mini tramp to play with in our basement. We finally got it up and the boys had a blast taking turn jumping in it. Then Wyatt smashed his face up against the screen and they both started having a blast making funny faces. 

These boys just crack me up so much!!! Brandon and I were laughing so hard while they were doing this!! haha

Ethan is such a creative boy. He LOVED his Kinex and is always making new things. I had to take a picture of this creation. He is just such an inventor! :-) Maybe he will be an engineer some day!

He just looked so cute in his little outfit! The sun was really bright though so I couldn't get him smiling!

lol This was Wyatt making a snow angel! haha It may look like he was shot but no he is very much alive and having fun! :-) 

The boys acting like babies! After nap time they both wanted to be wrapped up on the floor like babies while they ate their apples and watched some cartoons! haha 

New Years Eve

So on New Years Eve Brandons parents got stranded at the Denver Airport. So around 11 Brandon headed to the airport to go pick them up so they could stay with us until they got another flight. It was fun having Brandon's parents stay with us out of the blue. We were not expecting to see any family for the holidays and because of flight cancelations and too many people getting stuck they were able to come stay with us for 2 days. It was great! :-) We played games and ate yummy food! haha They got to enjoy watching us bang pots and pans with the boys on News Years Eve and then we got to celebrate the start of the New Year with them! 

The boys LOVED marching around our house banging the pots and pans and yelling Happy New Year and Wyatt was so sad when we made him put it away because it was bed time! He wanted to keep doing it! haha 

What a great end to 2014!!! 

I have such a cute family and we are excited for what 2015 will bring!! 

Shoveling snow after Christmas

Brandon had the day after Christmas off so we spent the day playing with toys the boys got and shoveling the 6 inches of snow we had gotten on Christmas Day! The boys love helping shovel the snow outside!

Wyatt sure tried but it was a little harder for him to shovel the snow! He didn't give up though, even if his face looks grumpy in this picture he was having fun! It must have been because of how bright it was outside!

Ethan had more fun walking in the snow than shoveling it but, who wouldn't! haha

They are such funny boys!! After a while of shoveling Ethan decided to just lay in the snow and start eating it. So Wyatt has to follow what his brother is doing. So they were both laying in the snow eating it! haha Silly kids!

Brandon made a pile with the snow and the boys started to jump into it from the porch steps. 

At least they had a blast playing in the snow with each other! 

We even got the sled out and let them sled down he tiny hill. It actually worked out pretty well and the boys LOVED it!!! 

So much fun in the snow!!
