A good start to the month of May

May started out really well. The weather was nice and warm and it made us ready for summer!!

Emmett is obsessed with bugs. Although it is not that he likes them, he is pretty much terrified of bugs. He is super fascinated until the bugs get closer to them and then he gets scared and runs away!

Park days are so great when the weather is so nice. I headed to the Fossil Creek park with Wyatt and Emmett around 10 and no one was there. We were there all by ourselves for a little while and we had so much fun being goofy together. After the park we headed to Brandon's office to go say hi and then headed home! It was fun and I love when I make time to actually play with the boys. I need to do that more often!!

With the forecast showing nothing but sunshine and blue skies we decided to plant our garden. The boys were super excited to help dig the dirt and help plant the seeds.

We also decided to try planting strawberries this year! Hopefully they do well and we can have some fresh delicious strawberries!!

Even Emmett had fun with the gardening!

Some more birthday party fun!!

Emmett hit his head on the corner of the wall yet again. This time he tripped over shoes near the garage door and fell right into the corner of the wall. It almost split his head open!! We were so lucky that his head did not split open. At first I thought he had fallen and bit his tongue because he was putting his hands to his mouth. Then Brandon mentioned looking at Emmett's head. When I looked at his head I felt so bad for him. We watched his head swell up like a little balloon underneath the dent. Poor little buddy!! We felt so bad for him! Luckily he handles owies really well and gets over it super quick. He was back to himself in just a few minutes jumping onto the couch and everything. Although, for the next few weeks he would randomly say "owe!" and grab his head! haha

It seriously kills me how big he is getting! I still think of him as my baby. I love his goofy personality but man, he has an attitude!! He hits his brother Wyatt all the time, screams anytime he wants something, throws some amazing tantrums and is super stubborn.

My boys with our massive asparagus! haha It is the second year of having our asparagus and so we are just letting them grow! They are huge and the boys think it is pretty cool that they are bigger than they are! haha So anyways, May started off really well and we are excited about how the rest of the month will be going! :-)

The rest of our April fun!

Emmett had his first run in with the corner of a wall in our house.

Emmett is getting so big and wants to do things all by himself. One afternoon he wanted to pull the wagon all by himself on the way home from the park! haha When did this kid get so big? 

I was able to take the boys to get slurpees one afternoon after playing at the park. The boys were so excited and they love going to get slurpees! It is fun to do simple fun things like that with my boys!

Emmett has also gotten really good at blowing bubbles on his own. Although, most of the bubble solution ends up on the floor. haha At least he has fun with it!

We also got to go watch Ethan perform in his 1st grade performance. They had some super cute songs and Ethan was so excited to be up on stage with everyone singing and doing the hand motions that they were taught! It was super cute to watch and Ethan was so energetic it was super cute! He did way better this year than he did last year!

Who doesn't love a little family fun at Costco. haha We kept swinging the cart around like a roller coaster and the kids were having a blast! They kept asking us to do it over and over again! haha

Emmett is serioulsy such a goof ball. He is such a mess maker and makes the funniest faces!

For Family Home Evening one night we let the boys take a bath with glow sticks! They thought it was a super fun Family Home Evening!

Emmett LOVES his binkie!! I will be getting ready for the day and he will come into the bathroom with his binkie and his blankie! He call his blanket his "BB". It is pretty cute and when it makes him happy and keeps him from screaming at me than I am cool with it! haha

Ethan's first Space Project! He did such a good job and it turned out amazing! He was so proud of himself on how it turned out! He kept complaining that his was not going to be as cool as the other kids in his class because they were doing all the planets. Once he was finished he was super happy with it!

Shooting bubbles!!

Emmett grabbed the squirt gun and started trying to shoot all the bubbles! It was so cute!!

One day, while I was making dinner, Emmett was not letting me get anything done. He cried any time I put him down on the floor. So I eventually just sat him down on the counter right next to me and let him help me out a little bit while I finished making pot pie. Then he wouldn't listen to me and kept climbing onto the counter as I tried cleaning up my mess. So instead of yelling at him over and over again I just let him sit next to the sink and play with the water while I washed dishes! 

Casa Bonita: 

 

We went down to Casa Bonita in Denver with our new friends the Ortiz's. We had been wanting to go and try it out and we had to go down to Denver anyways to get our car's heater fixed. So we hit Casa Bonita and it was TERRIBLE food!! The performances were corny at best but the kids thought it was fun. I doubt we will be going back there again. Brandon woke up at 2 the next morning with the runs which just solidified the reason we won't be going back! haha

Later that evening we headed over to the Ortiz's house to play and hangout for a little while. The boys had a blast with their boys doing boy stuff and running around being crazy and showing off their muscles with hanging off the beams in the basement. 

The next day Wyatt had a birthday party to go to at a sports place and was able to play some baseball and eat cake and pizza. He had so much fun!!

Emmett loves to brush his teeth ever since we got him a battery powered toothbrush! He gets super excited when its bedtime and I tell the boys its time to go brush their teeth. Emmett squeals and runs upstairs saying, "teeth..." It is so stinking cute!!

We have another Spiderman in the house!!! I put this mask on him and he runs around with a grumpy face saying, "Bad guy!!"

Scooter club at the school! The boys were so excited to be riding their scooters around the school! Silly boys!!
