FHE and Potty Time

So tonight for FHE we started by making homemade pizza together for dinner.

Then after dinner we went to Walmart to find a big boy potty for Ethan and then went to McDonalds for some ice cream! Ethan was so excited to be getting a big boy potty.

He chose this froggy potty over a lightning McQueen potty. We were pretty surprised but he insisted and that was ok with us since it was half the price! haha

When we got home he was all excited and wanted to go potty in his new froggy potty. He pushes so hard to get out just some pee pee but he does it! haha So he went both number 1 and 2 in his big boy potty tonight!! So much going on in this family this week. Having a new baby and Ethan is deciding that he is starting to be ready to potty train! We will see how much he wants to go in his potty but at least it is a start!

Oh and I do have to tell the story that brought up him getting a big boy potty. Well the last 3 times we have given Ethan a bath he gets in and then wants to sit on the toilet and go potty. So we would hold him over the toilet and he would push with all his might until he went pee. After he would do that we would get all excited and give him a high five and he would want to do it again! haha Pretty funny! That is really the only time that he ever thinks of using the toilet to go pee pee. Then yesterday (Sunday the 23) Ethan went and pulled the diaper gene empty canister out of the trash and put it on the floor and sat down on it saying it was a toilet and that he wanted to go pee pee in it. I told him it was not a toilet and he then went and put it on the toilet and acted like he really wanted to use it. So we then threw away the diaper gene canister and I asked him if he wanted to get him his own big boy toilet and he said "yes" right away and then told me he wanted to go in the car so we could go get it right then. Since it was Sunday I told him we could not get it because it was Sunday but that maybe we could get it the next day and he was very excited about it! So we decided to get one for him tonight as part of Family Home Evening and he LOVES it! He is such a silly boy and he is just growing up so fast!
