The D.R Isle Saona

The next morning we had to wake up bright and early, which was hard to do after our really long and late day the day before. However, we had an exciting day ahead of us. We were doing our first and only excursion to Isle Saona! The bus was picking us up at 7:45 that morning and then we were going to be taken to the drop of point where we hoped on a catamaran and took that for an hour and a half boat ride to the Isle Saona. When we got there we set down our stuff and went snorkeling with our snorkeling gear that we had bought at El Conde. It was pretty fun! We saw a few cool fish and they fed us lunch there. Then after playing on the Island for 4 hours we were taken to a place were there were Star fish that you could pick up. It was pretty cool but we were really tired by the end and there were not as many star fish as we had thought there were going to be. Plus is was probably more exciting for the people that were drinking. I swear people that drink probably drank more in that week they were there then they do the whole year! haha So after the Star fish they took us back to land and we jumped back on the bus. The bus then took us to a store that had way over priced suveniers. So we got off the bus just to walk for a minute before they finished shuttling us back home. We got back around 7 and ate dinner at the buffet and then relaxed the rest of the night.

We waited on our first bus in a parking lot for an hour till another bus came a picked us up to take us the rest of the way! Pretty lame! So we had to make the most of it! 

On the Catamaran! 

This guy that was working on the Catamarran was taking pictures of people! He took a ton of pictures of me and Vandy, since we were the only white people on the boat they probably thought we would want to spend the money and buy all of the pictures he took! Umm ya no! haha Espeically not when I have my own camera with me and Vandy had her camera with her! haha

There was drinking on the Catamarran too and music so people were dancing and drinking on the boat too! It was fun though and we saw some flying fish which was cool. 

Lunch Time!!

The chicken was actually really good!! 

The cantaloupe was pretty good but the pineapple on our excursion was by far the best we had the whole trip!

It was hard not to have water spots on our pictures with our water camera! But, we managed to get quite a few without too many water spots! :-) 

Good bye Isle Saona!!

Then on the bus they past out maybe 6 bottles of rum with people they had taken a picture of that could purchase this bottle of rum with their picture on it for 15 bucks. Of coarse out of the 6 people both us and Tyrel and Vandy got tagged on the bottles. So we took a picture with our camera and sent the bottle back to the front! haha 

Just because we are white we are going to spend money on everything!?? I dont think so! 

Tyrel was really tired on the way home! haha 

How can we not make fun of him! haha :-) 

Well that was the day! It was fun but very long. We got back and were really tired and a little sun burnt. We were looking forward to the next day and just sleeping in and relaxing!
