Wyatt turns 8

Well it's official, Wyatt turned 8 this year!! He is growing up so fast. I look back at pictures of him when he was just a little guy and he has changed so much. He is becoming such a handsome boy. He is no longer a little guy and it is so weird to think of how old these kids are getting. We started off Wyatt's birthday the usual way, coloring a birthday crown and heading out for some donuts!

We had to wait outside for a few minutes till we were able to go in and pick our donuts. With the whole Covid thing still going strong they were limiting the number of people allowed in their store at one time. Thankfully we got there when we did because the line got a lot longer soon after we arrived.

So excited for some yummy birthday donuts!! The perfect way to start out a Birthday!!
Kayden thought so too. He really enjoyed his donut in the car.

Wyatt was so excited about his sprinkle donut!

Wyatt was lucky this year and his birthday fell on a Saturday. So everyone was home all day for his birthday. Which meant we got to party all day long

So after donuts Wyatt wanted to open up his presents so that he could have more time to play with them.

He got some awesome gifts: a drone, hockey sticks, candy and a few others things.
After playing with his presents for a little bit he wanted to go to the park.

It was the first time we had been to a park probably since the beginning of the pandemic. The kids were all stoked to go play on the slides and swings.

After we played for a little while we jumped back on our bikes and rode to Freddy's for dinner.
Wyatt was so glad we got to ride our bikes to Freddy's. He loves riding their and he loves Freddy's. haha Sadly, we couldn't ride back. While we were eating dinner it got windier and the smoke from the wildfires blew in like crazy. It smelled awful!! Ethan and I ended up riding home quickly with our masks on to grab the car so we could pick up the rest of the crew. It was raining ash again and it smelled so awful. My throat was burning by the time we got back home. At least we were able to ride there to eat even if we couldn't all ride back home together.

When we got home it was time for cake, or rather brownies and ice cream this time. Wyatt is not a huge ran of cake. So he was pretty excited when I told him he could have cookies or brownies or even just ice cream if he wanted. He decided on the brownies with icing on them that Grandma Murri makes. They were quite delicious.

Kayden was loving the brownies until he got a chunk of egg shell and it hurt to swallow. Turns out there was a bunch of egg shell in the brownies. In all the years of baking cakes and brownies I don't think I have ever had that happen. It seemed like there was a whole egg shell in the brownies. We basically had to throw out the whole middle rows of the brownies because they had egg shell in it. Huge bummer!!

We finished off his birthday evening with his brownies and watching "George of the Jungle"

Wyatt is a silly kid! He still has a huge tender heart and is wanting to help others. He does not like it when his brothers get in trouble and usually has to try to not cry. Wyatt still loves to dance to music and really gets into it still. He is a great reader these days and has gotten pretty good with golfing. When he does something cool or amazing like a trick or something he will look at your as if to say, "I am amazing!" or "Oh ya.. I am the best!" It is quite funny!! He still loves to watch movies and play on anything with a screen! It has been hard to get him away from the screens now that school is online. He absolutely loves his baby brother and said one time, "Kayden is just so cute!! He brings me so much joy!" It was pretty cute to hear!! Also, in a couple of weeks Wyatt will be getting baptized and he is so excited for it!! We love Wyatt so much and are so excited for what the future will bring him.
