June 24th was Emmett's big day. Grandma and Grandpa arrived the day before and Tyrel and their kids came up the morning of the baptism. Emmett was super excited! The only bummers were that Papa couldn't be there because he had planned a camping trip with my brother Weston and his kids months before we picked a date for Emmett's baptism. So Papa was not able to be there and Aunt Vandy was not able to make it. Emmett was bummed about that but happy that some of his cousins were there and Grandma and Grandpa as well as Gigi were there. It was a good baptism service. It really ended up being just our family and like 3 friends. Which worked out. I just hope that Emmett remembers how he felt on his baptism day. It was a special day!
After Emmett was baptized and given the gift of the holy Ghost it was time to head out for some lunch. We like to let the boys pick where they want to go out to lunch and make it a big deal. He wanted to get MOD pizza. Which does not surprise me that kid could eat pizza for every meal every day. haha
Aunt Vandy was sad she couldn't be there for Emmett's big day so she sent a gift for him. Gum is the other things Emmett can not get enough of. So he was thrilled when they gave him this massive bucket full of bubble gum! haha I think he felt pretty special! We are so proud of him for making the decision to get baptized. I know it may not seem like a big decision or even much of a decision on his part. However, he wanted to get baptized and couldn't wait for the time to arrive. He was very happy about it and we are happy he wanted to go through with it. It was a good day!!
