Prego Update!

So I am now 31 weeks along! Only 9 more weeks to go! I can't wait to have this little boy and at the same time I start to get a little bit nervous about having this little boy! This pregnancy has been a tough one just because of my back pain. It is really annoying because I can't play with Ethan like I normally do and if I do start to chase him around then my back really hurts and I am out of commission for a little bit and I have a hard time walking without it being painful. So needless to say my back pain is what makes me want this baby to come more than anything else. I am just tired of hurting all the time. I think the last time my back didnt hurt was when I was 3 1/2 months pregnant!?! haha It started out not too bad and it just hurt when I would lay down sometimes and then it just got progressively worse and some days I can't pick Ethan up without thinking my back is going to give out! So that has made this pregnancy rough for me! I also think that this little boy moves more than Ethan did, which I dont think I thought was possible, but it sure is! This little boy just goes crazy all of the time! Which I am thankful in a way because I know that he is alive all the time which is nice to not have to worry. It does get annoying though when I can't sleep because he is awake and moving all over the place! haha Another thing that has been different this time around is I have been having a hard time sleeping. If I take a nap during the day no matter how tired I am I have a hard time sleeping at night (never happened when I was pregnant with Ethan). Also with Ethan waking up earlier because of his big boy bed I have been waking up atleast by 6 in the morning and I am not able to fall back to sleep! It has been really tiring especially when I am up 3 times during the night to go pee! haha Anyways, we are getting closer and it is exciting! :-) We can't wait to have this little boy here with us! :-)

Happy Birthday!

So on my birthday Brandon got up that morning and took Ethan to help him get things ready for birthday. When I came downstairs it was to a scene of tons of balloons all over the family room floor.

I had to pop the balloons in order to find two clues to where my presents were hiding! It was fun and Ethan loved handing me balloons to pop! haha So after I popped a few balloons I found...

these two slips of paper that would tell me where my presents were hiding! It was fun having to look for where he had hid my presents, it was definitely not something that I have really done before so it was pretty exciting!

Brandon got me some very pretty earings which when I saw the box saying "Ultra Diamonds" I was thinking "what the heck did you buy me when we have no money"! haha So Brandon then had to reassure me that they were not real diamonds (Thank goodness) they were in between cubic zirconia and real diamonds. So they still were not cheap but I love them and they are really sparkily! :-)

He also got me my first pair of gold shoes! Which I will not be able to wear for a while since I can't go golfing until after we have this little baby! But, I am looking forward to using them when I can! :-)

A little bit later that morning I went over to a neighbor of ours who is in our ward. She is the primary president and I Visit Teach her so I went over to see if they could watch Ethan that evening while Brandon and I went out to dinner. We ended up talking for a long time while Ethan played with her kids and then after finding out that it was my birthday her husband offered to buy pizza for the kids and let his wife and I go out to lunch for some girl time! I was totally not expecting that but it was really nice! I kept telling them they didnt have to and they just said they wanted to. So my friend Cami and I went out to lunch at Paradise Bakery where she paid for me (the little stink) and we talked and ate for a little while before going back to get the kids. Then when I got home it was time to put Ethan down for a nap. So my morning went great!! Then Brandon got home a little early and we got ready to go out to dinner and then dropped Ethan back off at our neighbors. We went to Texas Road House for my birthday dinner and it was delicious as always and so much fun to be out on a birthday date with my amazing husband! After we got home and picked up Ethan we just hungout at home and played for a little while.

These pictures were taken while we were just hanging out! haha Ethan had pulled down some streamers that Brandon had put up and he brought it over to me so I put it on his head like a ninja and told him to do his ninja thing. (which you just have to see in person, it is pretty funny!) So of coarse Ethan wanted me to do it too and then for daddy to do it! So we were all ninjas for a few minutes! haha What a silly family I have! :-)

Then to end the night of my amazing 24th birthday we put Ethan down to bed and Brandon gave me my last surprise... Snickers Ice cream cake cupcakes from cold stone! They were yummy, very rich, but yummy! So we ate those while watching Batman begins. We wanted to watch both the batman movies before going and seeing the last one that just came out on Saturday! So thanks to my amazing husband and some great friends it was a great birthday and I had a lot of fun!

Big Boy Bed

So i figured I should write about our experience with Ethan being in a big boy bed! Basically the week after Ethan turned 2 we decided to switch him to a big boy bed so that he could get used to not being in a crib by the time the baby comes. I didnt want him to feel like the baby is taking his bed from him and not be happy about it. I also want Ethan to be back to a normal schedule of sleeping before the baby comes so that we dont get even less sleep than what we will be getting when the baby arrives. So we switched him. We took the front panel off of the crib and added the little guard rail. For the first night we decided to leave the bumper pads on just to help him not fall off of his bed since he moves so much. That night went great! He went right to bed and didnt wake up all night. Then in the morning we heard him cry. It was not a normal I am waking up before I really should cry it was a kind of terrified cry. So Brandon and I imediately thought "Ethan fell out of bed" so Brandon went into get him and through the monitor I could hear Brandon laugh and then ask if Ethan was alright. So I got up and went in to check out how things were going. Brandon then told me that when he got in the Ethan was hanging upside down between his bed and the bumper pads with his head still above the ground and his feet straight up in the air. Man what a way to wake up! haha Poor kid! He then took a good nap later that day and for the next two nights he did really well. Then all heck broke loose! He started fighting going to bed. We would put him down and he would come out crying and then we would do it again and again until we would hold his door shut so that he could go to sleep. It would take about a half hour to get him to finally go to sleep and normally when we held the door shut he would end up falling asleep somewhere on the floor in his room. Then in the mornings we would find him different places. The first morning that he came out of his room we found him laying on Brandon's computer chair. He was not asleep but he was just laying on it. He probably would have fallen asleep if we had not come out of our room to see where he was. It was pretty funny.

So needless to say it has been interesting. He will get up in the middle of the night and come out and say, "MAMA where are you?" while he is crying and so we get up and go put him back to bed. Some nights he gets up multiple times and just comes out crying wondering where we are, and then he wants to cuddle. He has become a little cuddle bunny. He never was much for cuddling but now that he is in a big boy bed he wants to cuddle before bed every night and then in the middle of the night I think he wakes up just because he wants to find us and cuddle again. Yes it is cute sometimes but not at 2 and 5 in the morning! haha He also has been getting up at 5:30 sometimes and 6:30 most of the time. Sometimes he makes it till 7 which is nice. I just want him to sleep until he is ready to wake up and be happy because he has been a grump with not getting as much sleep as he was in his crib. Although he does still have a TON of energy! I dont know where he gets it all! So with getting up early in the morning and taking 30-45 minute naps it has been a mad house! The only plus side with Ethan waking up earlier is that we are able to have breakfast with Brandon in the mornings. So that has been pretty nice to be able to see him before he goes to school! Hopefully thought Ethan will break past this phase soon and start sleeping better or we might just go insane! So anyways, that has been our experience with a big boy bed so far! Wish us luck that it gets better soon!

Helping Daddy

So our neightbors gave Ethan a bubble blowing lawn mower for his birthday and he loves it. Brandon had to mow the lawn one day and we let Ethan try it out! He did not want to stop! What was so cute is that he kept copying Brandon when he would go down to empty out the grass and then when he would turn the mower on and off Ethan would do the same with his little lawn mower! It was super cute! So enjoy the pictures! :-)

Swim Class

So this summer we signed up for a mommy and me swim class! It was 4 days a week Monday through Thursday and it was for a half hour each time. It was fun to just get out and get in the water for a little bit each day and Ethan seemed to enjoy it although he would have rather just done whatever he wanted instead of having to practice kicks and stuff but he did really well! We went with Ethan's friend Sage and it was fun! The last day of class they let us go down the big water slide and Ethan LOVED it! If we could have we would have gone down the slide for the full half hour, but we couldnt! So it was a fun little class to take and Ethan really did well at learning to scoop his arms at the same time as kicking so I think it was a success! :-)

Then of coarse on our way home from swim class they were able to watch Toy Story and they were both very inthrauled in it! :-) Good ol' Toy Story!

4 years of Awesomeness!

On July 12th we celebrated our 4 year anniversary!! I can't believe it has been 4 years!! I seriously married the best man ever and I am the happiest girl alive to be married and sealed to him for time and all Eternity! We have had a lot go on in the 4 years that we have been married...

• Moved to Arizona
• Bought our first home
• Brandon started Dental School
• Had our wonderful and cute little boy
• Now expecting our 2nd little boy

For our anniversary we went out to eat at Sizzler! Which turned out to be in the ghetto and was not very good! So it was kind of a funny evening but it will be an evening to remember! :-) I am so lucky and we have had such a great life together so far and I am excited for all of the new memories we will be making in the future!!

2 Years old

Well I can't believe my little boy turned 2 years old on July 8th! Time sure does fly and he has just become this little boy. He is no longer my little baby boy, he is my little boy! He talks so much and just has grown up so much it is crazy! He sure can be a pain sometimes but then again he can be such a sweetheart! We love him so much and can't imagine our lives without him.

So like I said earlier we celebrated Ethan's birthday at my parents house a little bit. So we had some icecream cake with them to celebrate and my parents gave him his birthday present from them. So here are some pictures..

He sure enjoyed that icecream cake and he loved blowing out the candles! :-)

My mom did a little photo shoot for his 2 year birthday! He is such a handsome little man!!

I still can't believe how big he has gotten!

My parents got Ethan a little lightning McQueen scooter for his birthday! He loved riding it although it took a little bit to get the hang of it! After a little practice though, he was cruising!

What a cutie!

He got this piano from our neighbors and he loves it! I love that he puts his birthday car in front of it and acts like he is playing a song! haha

Then we also did presents when we got home from our trip.

Yup we got him a lightning McQueen car and he loves to ride around the house on it. It is too hot to ride around outside so for now it is something to keep him busy inside! :-) Ethan got a lot of cool things for his birthday which included: A cool ABC puzzle book from his Grandma and Grandpa Murri, a scooter from Papa and GG and the memory game (which Ethan does really well with and loves), and a car from us! We also got him some puzzles and he likes to try doing those too! So we have a lot of cool toys to keep Ethan busy in the Arizona heat while we can't go outside, and while I am having back pain with my pregnancy! So it works out for both of us! :-)

We love our little boy so much and still can't believe he is a 2 year old!
