5 months old

Well on the 15th of this month Emmett hit 5 months old. I can't believe he has been in our family for almost half a year. He has gotten so much more personality and is always so happy. He still loves to squeal and jabber. He loves to pull my hair when he is drinking a bottle and most of the time manages to grab a few hairs at a time and pull them out. Which reminds me of why I chop my hair whenever I have a little one. Emmett has been laughing more and more these days. He lets out some good laughs sometimes and it is so much easier to get him to giggle now. He thinks it is fun when he partially throw him in the air. He is super ticklish, especially when he is naked. haha He LOVES bath time and he loves his toes. He is always trying to grab his toes whether he is laying down or when I am sitting him up. We gave him rice cereal for the first time before Halloween and have given him rice cereal with prunes probably 5 more times. He is doing really well with it and it seems to help him have normal poops. He seems to really like it and get pretty excited when I put him in his high chair and he sees me bring his food over. Emmett has rolled over from his tummy to his back about 4 more times but still forgets how he does it and will get upset when he is done with tummy time and can't seem to roll back over. haha Just this past week he has started to try to roll from back to tummy. He has not done it yet but he sure has been trying hard. Emmett is a funny little guy and has started to do this head shake thing where as soon as you lay him down on the floor or couch he starts to shake his head from side to side. It is so funny. He will also copy you if you do it to him, it is so cute!! Another thing that Emmett has done that is funny is while he was having tummy time on one of his blankets with little animals on it he kept trying to grab the little animals. He was getting so frustrated because he couldn't pick them up off the blanket and was determined to get them. haha I told him that they were not toys and that it was just a picture on the blanket, but, he didn't quite understand! haha He has gotten so big and it is so much fun and yet sad that he is growing up so fast. One nice thing lately is that he is getting onto more of a schedule. Still pretty sporadic during the day, but at night he is getting onto more of a schedule. Lately, he has started to drink his last bottle between 7 and 8 and then go to bed and wakes up around 1 and then doesn't get up again until 7:30. It has been so nice when he does have those nights. Some nights he wakes up a couple times in the early morning around 5 and 6 and we give him his binkie and he goes back to sleep. He has made it quite a few times all the way till 7:30 and it is so nice! I can't wait till he sleeps through the night. For now though I will enjoy the quiet and peaceful night feedings that I have with him. Those are he best times to feed him his bottle because he does not squirm or pull out my hair or anything. He just drinks his bottle and then lets me cuddle with I'm while I burp him. During the day he is a squirmy little bug and sometimes won't drink his bottle unless I put I'm on the couch and just hold the bottle for him so he can kick his legs and look where ever he wants to. I think that is about it for Emmett's 5 month update, enjoy the pictures!

Emmett is such a cutie pie and we feel so lucky to have him in our family. He truly brings so much joy and laughter and I can't imagine our family without him!! I could just eat him up with how cute he is! We sure do love this little man in our life!

Date Night

After months of not going on a real date we finally planned a real date night without Emmett. The last Hunger Games movie (Mocking Jay part 2) came out and we planned a date night to get out just the 2 of us. It was a long time coming and we were super excited. We started the night going to meet Brandon's office staff for a surprise get together for one of there former employees. It took us about an hour to be able to find a parking spot and get to the restaurant. So by the time we chatted for a few minutes we left and had no time to grab dinner. So we headed to the movie theatre and thought we would just grab something there because the new theatre has a bistro in it so we thought we would just get a salad and some popcorn. It turned out to be the worst idea of the night. The movie was awesome just as we expected so it was a good night even though we didn't get to grab some dinner and chat together. However, we did get to finally go on a date night with no kids and that was a success.
Old Town looks to pretty with all of the Christmas lights up!

Ready for our movie!! :-)

 Part one of dinner....

 Part 2 of dinner....
The tinniest salad for 9 bucks we have ever had. Besides it being tiny it was nasty!! I managed 2 bites and then couldn't do anymore. Brandon ate the rest because we spent 9 bucks on it and he didnt want to waste it. haha Needless to say we will not be eating there again.
But, like a said a night out with just Brandon is a success. We have the best marriage! I sure do love this man! We are so much a like and such goofballs together. I love how much fun and laughter we have together. He is truly my best friend and I feel so lucky to be able to spend this life and eternity with him!

November 7-18th

November has been going by pretty quickly and we are just trying to enjoy life and the warmer weather while it lasts. We have had a few pretty cold days mixed in with some nicer days. So we are just hoping that the winter weather does not hit for a little while longer. I am not ready for winter yet. So here are some pictures of our life.

Who doesn't want to hang out at Costco. Especially when they have these toy ponies to ride! :-)

Having fun with tummy time!

I just love Emmett's laughs! :-)

My 3 boys!! Man how much I love these little ones and I love how much they love each other!!

It was cold enough in the evening to enjoy some hot cocoa with the Christmas tree lights on while we watched something.

Emmett getting ready for some rice cereal. He gets so excited. Even though this picture is kind of blurry I can't get over his face because it just shows perfectly his spastic grabbing for things! haha

He was so... excited to be getting fed some rice cereal with prunes. I LOVE this smile he gave me!! The cutest for sure!!

Then while playing downstairs with Wyatt I put Emmett on the floor. He then started trying to roll over and reach for things and ended up pulling this race track on himself. He was all smiles until he pulled in on him and then he had this terrified face and started to whimper! haha

The boys seem to think that instead of jumping on the tramp they should climb on it! Its only a matter of time before they fall and get hurt!! Oh well, not much I can do except for hope they learn there lesson before they get really hurt!

Wyatt just loves Costco! :-) Plus he was super excited that I let him hold my card! haha

Arm wrestling Daddy! :-)

Having fun with Daddy at the park. Ethan has gotten really good at the monkey bars and Wyatt likes to be intense. haha

This picture comes with some background. For more than a week I was not able to smell anything because of my cold that ended up turning into a sinus infection. So I couldn't tell that our car smelled bad until my smell finally came back. I was finally able to smell things and we got in the car and the car smelled terrible. Brandon then left for Kansas City for  BYU game with him brother Tyrel and some other guys so I decided to clean out the car and figure out why it was smelling so bad. When I got to the back seat where Ethan sits I found week old Chick Fil A chocolate milk and week old smoothie in his cup holder. The smoothie had busted through the cup and was filling up half the cup holder with nasty old smoothie. It smelled rotten! So after I got it cleaned out it smelled much better in our car.

Ethan drawing a castel and a fish outside.

Wyatt was using his golf club to eat snow! haha

 Ethan's castle!

The Saturday that Brandon was gone to the BYU game we had a lot going on. I had 2 basketball games to go to, grocery shopping and my friend Trisa's annual pie party. I had to do it all by myself since Brandon was out of town. It was a crazy busy day. So in between basketball games I hit up the store and since Emmett was in his car seat there was not much room in the cart for everything so the boys had to help hold the cereal! haha

While Brandon was off in Kansas City having fun with friends and his brother Tyrel and brother in-law John they went to the BYU game as well as golfing and visited some church sites. Thankfully he takes pictures so I can put them on my blog as well.

They had lots of fun. Not much sleep with 6 guys in one hotel room but they still were able to have fun.

Getting ready for church and Brandon asked Wyatt if he wanted him to do his hair how he had it growing up. I think Wyatt looked so cute. Super different, but super cute like usual!! :-)

Ethan's hair wouldn't do it very well but he looked so handsome with his hair all spiked.

We went to costco to get stuff done and eat lunch. After lunch I told the boys we could get ice cream. They were ECSTATIC!
The pictures were all funny that I took so I had to leave them all in.

My boys are such goof balls! haha

After eating his ice cream Wyatt was really cold. haha If you couldn't tell!

Playing superheroes down in the basement.

Wyatt loves to slide down the stairs. One time he decided to slide down on his bum. In order to do that he had to lean completely forward. It was so funny to watch him do this over and over again! haha

My boys sure do love to be super hero's.

Ethan found out what happens when cold ice comes in contact with wet lips! haha He thought it was hilarious and so did we! :-)

Our life is seriously great! It gets pretty stressful at time with all the craziness of our boys and tantrums but it is the best. I wouldn't change my life for anything. I love my boys and there is so much laughter in our lives because of these kiddos!
