We are summer Lovin!!

Summer is always so great! I love the summer time because we can be outside as much as possible. We can go swimming, go on bike rides and barbecue and just have a bunch of fun. This summer has been great so far. The boys love to go to the pool, ride bikes, play in the basement and build things with legos or whatever I give them. It has been fun and yet crazy at the same time. I feel like I have been cleaning a ton lately and that has been taking a lot of my time. I need to just forget about the cleaning and enjoy the summer with my boys! I will work on that! So here are some pictures of our fun in the sun!

We love going to Firehouse subs and Emmett actually ate a good amount of lunch meant and pickle and bread! So he really likes it to. Win Win for us! :-)

Such cutie!

The boys each wanted a turn at showing their yummy food that they were currently eating! haha

This next section of photos is a pinterest success. I found this idea of giving the kids grapes and toothpicks and letting them build things. The boys absolutely loved it! They kept asking for more grapes.

Ethan got pretty creative and ended up helping Wyatt because Wyatt wanted his to look like Ethans! haha It was such a good idea. Plus they got to eat all the yummy grapes after building with them!

We sure do love the pool! I have braved going to the pool just me and the boys and it has worked out so far. Emmett does not like any of his floaters so I end up having to just hold him the whole time. The boys do great with their floaties on and go on the slide practically non stop. One time I went and I had a little scare. I normally watch the boys like a hawk as they come down the slide in case they need some help. However, at one point I was talking with some friends and didnt know that Wyatt had come down the slide. He had been doing awesome with grabbing onto the rope when he got down and pulling himself to the side of the pool. However, this one time I was talking with some friends and all of a sudden my friends starts saying, "He's Stuck!! He's Stuck!! Grab him!!!!" I turn around looking for what she is talking about and see Wyatt caught in the rope. his neck was on the rope and the current from the pool was pushing him into the rope so he couldn't get free. He looked like he was crying and he was spitting out water. I was holding Emmett and I started off as fast as I could while holding Emmett in my arms to get over to Wyatt and get the rope off his neck and save him. I could have gotten there so much faster if Emmett had been in his floaty! Oh well! I got there as quick as I could and pulled him off the rope. He started crying and holding onto me and then Emmett started crying because he is sympathy crier too. One of my other friends took Emmett so I could just help with Wyatt and calm him down. After that Wyatt was done swimming and wanted to go home and watch TV. Watching TV is Wyatts fall back if he gets hurt or super tired! Which brings me to my next picture...

After asking me and asking me to watch tv one day he finally went silent. I came over to see what he was doing and he was fast asleep on the blanket on the floor! haha

This is just something that Ethan wrote in school and I wanted to post it because it is cute!! :-)

Ethan is really enjoying baseball. During his first baseball game it rained on us pretty hard. About 10 minutes before the game was supposed to be over they finally canceled the game because they heard thunder. We were kind of wishing they had canceled it earlier when we were all getting soaked! haha

For FHE one night we decided to make a care package for Mady. She had just gotten her tonsils out and was pretty sad and sore. So we thought it would be fun for the boys to pick our a stuffed animal and some candy and right or color little cards or pictures for her. The boys loved coloring pictures for her an Ethan wrote her a little note on his.  It was a good and yet simple FHE! :-)

This is one it looks like taking the boys to the pool. I normally take Emmett in his stroller so that I have somewhere to put some food for him to eat while we are there. Then the boys take the wagon with all of the towels and floaties in it. haha

Emmett tore his frenum one evening. He made a tiny fuss and that was it so we didn't even know it had happened until we saw blood coming out of his mouth. He was still all smiles though!

I have not put Emmett in the wagon really yet because I don't want him to fall out. I decided to try it one day and he had fun just sitting in the wagon while I pulled him around for a little bit!

Although we have to deal with nap times and grumpy kids and a messy house, summer is still going pretty well. Oh, and I have gotten the boys to empty the dishwasher anytime it needs to be emptied. It is super nice to not have to empty the dishwasher and load it. So I have been trying to get the boys to do more work around the house and they have been doing a pretty good job! :-)

The fun continues

Look at those sad tired eyes!! Emmett was not getting much sleep and it was starting to show. Poor little buddy had bags under his eyes!!

What a classic little boy picture. Ethan and Wyatt were peeing together while Ethan is brushing his teeth!! Oh man! The things we get to tell future in-laws! haha
Anyways....

On Sunday we headed to church and afterwards the boys got to make cookies with Grandma!

They were so excited to help Grandma!

I think Emmett was a little jealous! ;-)
Or just tired, one of the two for sure!

"cheese"! haha I love it when he says cheese for the camera! :-)

 So stinking cute!!

Always fun helping make cookies. Especially when they are cooked and ready to eat! :-)

Monday morning Lee and I went for a run and when we got back Brandon said that Wyatt had thrown up. I was hoping that it was just something he ate, or something that would go away super quick since it was our last day in Idaho and we had a fun filled day planned.

Well it did not go away. After throwing up a couple of times he wanted to watch some tv. So we let him sit with a blanket on a bowl in the den and watch some cartoons. Then we got him to drink some water and he drank some but didn't want to eat anything. When Brandon and Grandpa got home Brandon mentioned giving Wyatt some tylenol. I hadn't given him any since he kept throwing up. But, we decided to try and no sooner had I given Wyatt his medicine he threw up. Somehow he didn't throw up the medicine. It was straight water with not the slightest bit of pink in it. I don't know how that happened but I was sure glad. Especially when he started getting up and walking around and smiling a bit. So he finally felt a little better from the medicine so we headed to Murri barbecue.

It was fun seeing everyone and eating some yummy food! However..... the wind was blowing still and that always puts a damper on things for me. Besides the wind blowing I kept worrying about Wyatt and him up chucking while we were at the barbecue. Luckily he never did and he was acting pretty normal. The boys had fun jumping on the trampoline and running around with some extended cousins.

Emmett wasn't so sure about Grandpa and Grandma the Great! haha

But he finally smiled!! Seriously such a stinking cute picture!

Lucky Emmett got a horse ride on Grandma the Greats leg! He really liked it!

After the Barbecue we headed to get some snow cones!

I had been looking forward to these the whole time we were in Idaho. These snow shacks in Idaho Falls are so...... yummy and so stinking cheap. It is a win win in my book!! So we got some yummy snow cones and then headed back to the house.

Then Lee and I took off to go get our nails done! After the boys golfing a couple of times we needed some girly time to ourselves. Two our of three kids were napping so we headed out. It was fun to get a massage in the massage chair and talk and enjoy being pampered a little bit!

Man I do not have pretty feet! But my nails sure looked cute!

It was fun spending that time with Lee!

That night after getting our nails done Brandon and I headed to Uncle Hollis house with Brandons Dad to learn how to play pickle ball. It was a lot of fun and we ended up playing for about 2 hours. After that we headed back to play some cards before going to bed and leaving in the morning. It was a good end to the trip. Also that night Emmett kept crying when we went to bed so Lee came in and took Emmett with her so we could get some sleep. In the morning we found Lee sleeping next to Emmett on the floor upstairs. It was a cute picture I had to take it. We got the rest of our stuff packed up and put the kids in the car and headed out. Soon after leaving I told Wyatt that if his tummy was hurting him to let me know so I could get him a bag to throw up in. Well... he told me his tummy was hurting really bad almost as soon as I had mentioned it. So I climbed in the back and tried to untie a bag as fast as I could and just missed Wyatt throwing up. I caught the last half of him throwing up but the rest of it went all over him. Luckily it was just a bunch of water. So I had to search in our bags for a shirt to change him into and then wiped everything else down with a wet wipe and called it good. Thankfully he didn't throw up anymore after that. It was a trip to remember! Maybe our next trip all of our kids will be healthy! haha
