Halloween Festivities!

Sunday the day before Halloween we finally carved pumpkins.

Ethan actually cleaned out his pumpkin this year!

Emmett wanted to try to. He also wanted to help Ethan put the pumpkin guts back inside of his pumpkin. haha

Wyatt on the other hand did not want to clean out his pumpkin. He didn't even want to draw his face. He kept telling me he wanted me to draw a Captain America face on his pumpkin. Then he changed to spider man and then back to Captain America. I told him I couldn't draw a Captain America face so I just drew a face on his pumpkin and then he helped Brandon push the cut out pieces out of the pumpkin.

Halloween Day was spent pretty much on the couch. I ended up getting food poisoning Sunday night (I believe it was from left over chicken I ate for lunch) So I was up all night ralphing in the toilet. It was not fun. So on Halloween when I had planned to get out of the house and have some fun with the boys and let Wyatt dress in his Captain America costume all day we ended up just watching TV pretty much the whole day. I did not feel good and just wanted to sleep and sit and relax. We did venture out into the backyard at one point and I laid on the carpet in the basement while the boys played but that was pretty much it. I would start to feel ok and then I would get a wave of pain in my stomach that would remind me of why I didn't want to do anything. We did make it outside for a little bit while we waited for Ethan to get home from school.

Then I made jack o lantern grilled cheese sandwiches for the kids for dinner. I had not gotten to the store so I had nothing else planned for dinner and I didn't really want to cook. Brandon picked up sandwiches from Firehouse for he and I to eat but since it was Halloween I wanted to boys to eat something before Brandon got home so we could just get costumes on and go out Trick or Treating. If it hadn't been for that I would have just had Brandon bring home dinner for the kids too.
Luckily I felt good enough to go out and watch the kids trick or treat. I was not about to miss Emmett's first time trick or treating.

I am so glad I felt good enough to go out and watch them Trick or Treat. Emmett would try to say "trick or treat" it was pretty much just the rhythm and sound of Trick or treat but he sure did try. Then he would say, "dandoo" obviously for Thank you! It was seriously the cutest thing!!!

The boys made a haul and had so much fun. They looked so stinking cute walking around a some people totally knew who they were supposed to be and others thought they were a mariachi band! haha The rest of the night I spent on the couch and we went to bed early. We had planned on watching "Van Helseign" but that changed with me being sick! Oh well, there is always next year! haha

Hope Lives Gala

After the fun on Friday night, Brandon and I were able to go on a fancy date night on Saturday night. We had been invited by Travis and his wife Raquelle to the "Hope lives Gala" So we got to get all dressed up and go take pictures and eat dinner and watch everyone spend a ton of money in donations to the "Hope Lives" organization. It was a LONG evening. We were there at 5:30 and didnt leave until just before 10 and it wasn't even over when we left. So although it was long and a lot of speeches and auction items it was still fun to get out on a date and dress up fancy! :-)

Sure do love my man!

The Three Amigos!

After the fun festivities at school with Ethan I headed to the store to grab ingredients to make chili since our Ward Halloween party was that night as well. After hitting the store Brandon and I dropped off Emmett and Wyatt at our friends house and we went to the Temple. It was so nice to be able to go to OUR Temple now only 15 minutes away. After the Temple we had to finish getting our costumes ready and I had to make chili. It was a really busy afternoon. The boys were going as "The Three Amigos" Brandon was El Guapo and I was Carmen. The boys costumes turned out so stinking cute!! I couldn't get enough of how cute they looked. I just can't handle how cute they looked in their costumes. Plus I married a hot El Guapo! :-) haha

I just love how our costumes turned out. Mostly the boys.. but Brandon and I looked good too!

Thankfully there were hot dogs at the party so the kids could eat something since they never eat the chili. So the boys ate hot dogs and rolls and then got to go do carnival games.

This little girl by Wyatt is Mady. She and Wyatt have a little thing for each other. haha It is so funny. I went to take pictures of the boys in their groups and she was behind Wyatt with her hands on his shoulders. haha It is so funny to watch them.

The boys were pretty excited to go trunk or treating. I took Emmett around too and he got a few pieces of candy and he was loving life when Brandon opened up a chocolate for him.

Oh yes... the firetruck! This Halloween party will be one that everyone remembers. There was a haunted house station and the people running it let the fog machine go a little too crazy. So probably 10 minutes before the carnival games were supposed to be over the fire alarms went off. Everyone had to leave the building and the alarm was so stinking loud.. it hurt my ears and everyone else' so bad. Thankfully the youth that were in charge of the stations with these little kids took charge and handled the situation very well and got all the kids out and kept them with them. I was very impressed. Especially with Wyatt's group. When I came out to find my boys his team leader had them sitting in a circle singing songs. Way to go youth!! The firemen came and no one except a select few were able to get back in the building. They were keeping everyone out. Luckily they let me in to grab Wyatt's pumpkin and then I went in to grab our instant pot. So it all worked out but it was pretty crazy and definitely a night we will never forget! haha

I had to take a picture of Brandon and I in our costume get ups. It was very hard for me to be serious like always. haha I sure love how goofy we are together! :-)

Halloween fun at School!

Then Friday morning we headed over to Ethan's school to see him in the Halloween costume parade.

Wyatt was pretending to be a ninja!

Ethan looked so cute in his little "Three Amigos" costume.

After the parade Brandon took Wyatt and Emmett home and I helped out in Ethan's class for their Halloween party!

It was kind of crazy with all the kids and getting them to listen. However, it was fun to watch Ethan and to see how excited he was that I was helping out in his class! Sure do love that kid!!
